Anybody Looked At Mousesavers This Morning

Mousesavers says there were package discounts last fall to the general public and Disney Visa holders

http://www.mousesavers.com/faq.html#historical

but unfortunately it doesn't list what they were. I can't remember since we didn't use them last fall - anyone?
Do a search for 'Fall and Holiday Season Dream Maker', since I cannot post a link.

"For travel dates of 9/30/04-12/25/04, must be booked by October 10, 2004 - Packages and room-only rates are available.

Fall and winter are seasons of celebration across the Walt Disney World Resort. This year, the Vacation Kingdom not only offers an impressive lineup of special events, but a little something extra ?a discounted vacation package with Disney?s Fall and Holiday Season Dream Maker Package.

Disney?s Fall and Holiday Season Dream Maker package from the Walt Disney Travel Company is available for travel most nights from Sept. 30 through Dec. 25, 2004, with prices starting as low as $326 per adult for three nights based on adult double occupancy at a Disney Value Resort. Additional nights and other resorts are available at varying rates. Bookings can be made through Oct. 10, 2004"

Was released on or about August 26, 2004.

aanthony03 - If you have a room only AAA rate booked directly through Disney and you aren't within 5 days of travelling (which you wouldn't be) - you can have them switch you to any new deal without penalty.

Of course which resorts are available with a new discount will probably depend on how booked up they are. I posted this on the Oct Code thread but to reiterate:

It can pay to be resort flexible. Go to Expedia and put in your dates. Although there were some times around weekends and the golf tournament when the resorts were busier in Oct, there is still a lot of availability in values and mods, especially toward the very end of Oct. Seeing what is booked up and what isn't will give you an idea of which resorts will be available with a discounted package. Remember you have to think of it as a clearance sale. Not likely to be available everywhere or for only certain category rooms at a resort. Also if your dates are flexible, play with looking at availablity there - might be able to work something better out.

Good luck. I don't care if it's free dining or not, I'm goin' anyway so I'll be happy with any deal that saves me more $$$ !!!

And thanks for the info about last year's package :)

I am so excited! I had pretty much given up on any discounts coming out! I hope it is free dining! We are booked with AAA at POFQ December 2-8 and would love to get to use the free dining!

Do you guys think it may include a deal for tickets also?

Me too! We are booked at the Poly for Dec 6th thru the 10th (Hilton DTD for the 3rd - 6th) thru AAA. I would love to add the free dining on to our package as that would save us $400 :cheer2: I happy with our package as is though if a beeter deal isn't released.

BTW, I know that during our dates very few of the deluxe resorts had any availability when I checked them recently. The CR, Poly, GF and WL all showed no availability. Maybe they have blocked off some rooms for a promo :confused3

OMG--I am so excited that my heart is pounding and I just forgot all the things I was supposed to be doing this afternoon...

One question...
If we have a DU agent, will they know what the deal is before we find out about it on MouseSavers?

I hope it's not free dining, because I just tried making some ADRs for the dates we are going (Nov 5-13) and there is little to nothing available as it is now. (If there is availability, it is for 4 pm or 9 pm dining times.) People would be pretty pissed off if they get free dining but can't actually use it.

On the other side, we didn't use the BRP because I wanted to leave options open (instead we have a room only AAA reservation) so hopefully that choice will pan out....

Sue Ellen: In your opinion, what do you think might be offered and what dates would be included in this offer?
Thank you
Suzy V.

I wonder what it will be if it isn't free dining? I suppose only a room discount. I am still hoping for dining, but every little bit helps!

It could be anything. In the past few years they've had 7 nights for the price of 4, 7 nights for the price of 5, Kids stay and play for free . . . so it's anybody's guess what Disney can think up :confused3

You've the right attitude "every little bit helps". As long as it saves me more $$$ it's all good! :)

I have a very good feeling that SueEllen knows exactly what it's going to be, she just can't tell us yet because Disney puts an official release date on these things.

Since it's not free dining, I suspect it will be a 7 nights for the price of 4 type- deal like they had last year.

Hard to believe since there are so few rooms left for certain weeks at the Disney resorts. I guess we'll have to wait and see!!

That is what i was thinking, its a little late to be doing ADRs and still be able to get what you want......just my thoughts :teeth:

brooke :flower:

Wow! I sure hope that this is something our DU agent will be able to apply to our current package!

bump... just want to subscribe to this thread to keep track of the conversation.

Will it come out today and where should we be "watching?"
We are going down Dec. 8-11 ...

Thanks
Bronte

If it is the 7 nights for 4 thing, then I am out of luck as I am staying for 6 nights! I saw a post on another site that he knows people (who knows if this is true or not) at WDW travel and they are pannicking about the winter and if they will lose money with everything going on! Funny, I thought it looked like it was going to be busier this winter.

Feeling selfish, but we are only going for 4 nights, so I really hope it is not a 7 night for the price of 5 deal..... What could it be .......

I agree with tjmouse about SueEllen, she isn't going to give anyone a definitive answer about what the discount will be in advance of Disney releasing it (and neither will Mousesavers) but I think it's great we got a little tidbit :) Then we can all speculate about what it might be other than free dining!

Maybe I'm not thinking straight (with all this excitement!!!), but wouldn't you still save money by taking a 7 nights for 4, and then just leaving the room empty one night? After all, you'd be paying for 4 instead of 6...
