I need to know if this is do-able and if anyone is interested:

I have 2 100-point BCV add-on contracts at $70/pp; and
a 50-point VB add-on at $60/pp (with MB)
(both are December use year)

that I have not closed. However, I just decided to buy another large BWV resale contract and therefore, decided not to buy BCV.

My guide has worked very hard to get everything exactly like how I wanted. I feel really bad that I need to cancel these.

Does anyone know if someone else can assume my place to get either the BCV or VB contracts at these prices?

I don't plan to make any $ on this, but just trying to still get my guide his commission.

If it is do-able, is anyone out there interested? I probably want to wait until Monday to tell him that I have to cancel these.

If you have any questions, you can either email me at

buzzlauren@aol.com

or post on this board. Thanks so much.

It's nice of you to think of your guide. However, I wouldn't worry. They'll probably be more than happy to take back this contract and sell it at full price.

Pam,

I know what you were saying. However, I view this as his lost income. I am sure he is doing well and he is still selling these. But mine was something that he thought he has already earned.

Anyway, I just thought that since most of the people who have gotten the prices that I have have already closed. The people who are not yet closed may be able to get a better deal, if they take all or part of mine.

This way, I can at least call my guide to see if I can work out something with him. He is a nice guy and I just feel very guilty.

However, if no one is interested, I just have to call him next week to give him the bad news (I still have the paperwork from Disney and nothing is signed yet, so I am not obligated to buy).

Thanks.

I was under the impression (from reading other posts on this forum) that the guides were not paid commission on DVC sales. Is that incorrect or has it changed recently?

I just assumed that they get commission.

So, what incentives do they have to sell more of these? I want to call my guide and tell him, but I just feel really bad to do this to him.

I asked my guide if they get a commission. He told me they did. This is why when you go to a sales presentation you are assigned a specific guide and asked to return to that guide. My guide actually said to me over the last couple of years several times that when I finally decide to buy, please make sure it is with him (so he gets the commission).

I just want to understand this correctly:

You have 2 - 100 point add-on contracts at BCV (which means you are already a member) at $70/pp with December use year.

Are you able to keep your 2002 points or do you have to sell them back through MB buy back?

Can these be combined and bought by a new member as a 200 point contract?

Will DVC let you do this (they are currently selling at a much higher price - $80/pp)?

I was told by my guide that incentives are per customer (meaning offered only to you) and can only be extended one month for yourself only. Does anyone know if this truly is the case?

I have been talking to DVC (since mid-May) about a new member BCV contract and this is much better than they are currently offering me and they would not honor a past incentive I read about on this board which expired on April 30 (because I did not call on or before April 30), so this is all news to me.

Copper3,

Yes, I am already a member.

My post is trying to figure out if this can be done, so that hopefully will help both my guide and whoever wants to buy them.

In both the BCV and VB, I am keeping my 2002 points, even after MB.

I originally had these as 1 200-point contract and I asked my guide to re-write the contract to become 2 100-point add-ons. I know, if I want to, it can be re-written again as a 1 200-point contract.

I am hesitant to call him yet until I see if someone knows more details. I will be much happier to call him to tell him that I found him someone else so that his efforts on me won't be wasted.

He has been extremely patient with me and it took me 3 year s to finally buy into DVC.

Again, I am looking for information here and see if I can give someonel else to him to make up what he has done for me.

I would like to be able to call him with a name and see if he can arrange it, if possible.

Just spoke to my guide and he told me that this could be done, probably with several hundred dollars transfer fees. Basically I have to close Disney's contracts and pay for all my points. Disney will then do the transfer to whoever would be interested in my contract and the contract can be re-written to eiterh a 200-point contract or 2 100-point contracts.

If anyone is really serious in this price, please e-mail me at

buzzlauren@aol.com

so that I can get my guide involved to get this done (I don't mind putting up the $ upfront to close the contract to just help him to get the comission, but I would hate to disappoint him again If I arrange for someone and tell him later that I am not closing it because the other person changed his/her mind).

Thanks about all the interests and comments.

I just mentioned to my DH what needs to be done to do the transfer and he absolutely opposes it.

I know he is right. It seems like a lot of work for me with additional hassels and risks.

I will call my guide to apologize and just cancel the contracts completely.
