I've tried several tuna casserole recipes and none have been great. I'm hoping one of you has some great recipe I can use tonight!

I have:
8oz Egg Noodles
or
8oz Shells
or
Macaronis

Tuna
Shredded cheese
Onion
Cream of mushroom soup
Cheddar cheese soup
Umm....probably lots of other stuff that could go into a tuna casserole as I'm hoping to do this without a trip to the store today.

Can anybody help???

Thanks Soooo Much!:p

I think GOOD tuna casserole is an oxymoron - but I used to make it with noodles, cream of mushroom soup and some sort of topping - crushed potato chips, crushed crackers, corn flakes, etc. You can add some peas.

1 package wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 can white albacore tuna, drained
1 can baby peas, drained
1 can cream of mushroom soup, cook according to directions

Layer noodles, then tuna, then peas, then soup, repeat, then top with crushed potato chips.

bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes

Tuna Stroganoff Casserole

1 can cream soup
1/2 c sour cream
3/4 c milk
1/2 c mayonaise
7 0z tuna
1 c grated cheese
2 T parsley
1/4 t salt and pepper
1 T lemon juice
3 c cooked pasta

combine and top with cracker or bread crumbs. Bake 45 min at 350. Put extra chesse on top the last 15 minutes if desired.

This is good! I've done it without sour cream - just added a little extra mayo. The mayo & lemon juice give it some tang.

4 T melted butter
1 zucchini grated
4 carrots grated
1 small onion diced
16 OZ sour cream
1 can golden mushroom soup
2 cans cream chicken soup
1 large bag pepperidge farm stuffing mix
2 cups tuna
1 can durkee french fried onions

Mix all together and place in lightly greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 40 min.

Topping:
1/2 cup stuffing mix 2 T melted butter

You can also substitue chicken for tuna.

This one is GOOD!!!! My whole family loves it. I don't put as much cheese as it states AND I put in 2 Cream of Mushroom soups instead of one. I also use Ritz Crackers instead of croutons.

Ingredients

1 cup elbow macaroni
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 (6 ounce) cans tuna, drained
1 pound Cheddar cheese, cubed
1 1/2 cups seasoned croutons

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. Meanwhile, in a 9x13 inch baking dish, combine soup, tuna and 1/2 of the cheese; mix well.

3. Add pasta to baking dish and mix together. Add remaining cheese to the top of the mixture, then add croutons. Cover dish and bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted; serve.

Thank you everybody, now which one do I try? I'm going for one with cheese because I know we will like that best. I'll let you know!

I've never had Tuna Casserole.
Tonight I am making stuffed tomatoes w/ tuna.

I actually kind of enjoyed Tuna Casserole, but DH hates hot tuna. :( I tried the following recipe & he not only ate it, but said he liked it. If you use white tuna instead of light - it makes it a whole lot better!

Sever Seas Casserole
10.5 oz can cream of celery soup
1 1/2 c water
1/4 tsp salt
dash pepper
1 1/3 c Minute rice
1 1/2 c cooked peas
7 oz can tuna, drained & flaked (better with tuna packed in water)
1/2 c grated Cheddar cheese

Combine soup, water, salt & pepper - bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Pour half into a greased/sprayed 1.5 qt casserole. Add pease, tuna & Minute rice (right from the box). Add remaining soup then sprinkle the cheese over the top.
Bake at 375, covered, for 20 - 30 min, cutting through center with a knife after 10 min. Serves 4 - 6

Try adding a spoonful or two of mustard (just plain, yellow mustard) to the casserole. Give it a little zip.
