Anybody go last weekend or going this weekend????

Finally, the CM is like: yeah, she can go. And so we turn to go to the back of the mega line and the original CM is like, "Nah, come on..." and he takes us to the loading area of the ride right away and we're on the thing in like 5 minutes!!! How great/kind/sweet/fun is that?!?! :)

That is totally sweet!! And how did she like her first ride on Soarin????

She loved it tons! She calls it the ride where you go inside the television set :)

When we got home later in the week we played the YOUTUBE clip of Soarin, made it HD full screen, and we all sat in my office chair (that swivels and bibs and bobs every which way) and did our own make shift version :) Nowhere near the same :( But still a blast! :rotfl:

Can't wait to head back!

ok peeps...time to talk....anyone who went this past weekend ( oct. 16-18) needs to let us know how the crowds were....Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase???? :rotfl:

We will be there starting this Wed. I could really use some crowd reports. DH is not a fan of crowds and is getting antsy. he may be glad he has conference calls thursday and Friday depending on crowds.

I don't kow about this past weekend but I think the parks will be crowded this week with DIS members!!!! :rotfl: And my group of 7 will be there too!:woohoo:

We are going tomorrow for a few hours. Don't think it'll be as bad as last week. Guess we shall see.

I was there last saturday and there was another thread around here somewhere about the crowds where I mentioned our experience with crowds but I'll summarize here too. We were there Saturday from 7:45-2 and I didn't think the crowds were bad. I think it helped going on Sat since the socal APs were blocked. I felt like we really got a lot done. We went on 9 rides (3 with FP), ate a nice sit-down lunch at big thunder ranch, looked at the big thunder ranch petting zoo/pumpkins, etc, stood in line at city hall, sat down for a snack in the morning and looked in a couple of stores. We really didn't think it was that crowded considering it was a saturday. The most crowded place we went was the restaurant which surprised me because every time we had walked by that place in the past, it was empty but we had to wait 30 minutes (it was a last minute decision so we didn't have PS). Space mountain was 70 min wait but it was only 10-15 with FP. I'm sure it got more crazy as evening approached but we weren't there that long. I think you'll be fine if you get there at opening and collect FPs.

from ~2pm untill closing on 10/15, all day 10/16, and all day 10/17.
Thursday was not too bad we did a few rides like Indy, HMH, Jungle cruise, Buzz, Star Tours, BTMR and maybe one or two others...never waited more than 30 minutes, probably more like 10-15. Also did Billy Hill in the afternoon on our first day..
Friday was great in the AM. We went into DL at 8am and got some FPs for SM, rode the monorail and then went to CA...got FP for Soarin and then waited for 10am rope drop and made our way to TSMM. Waited ~10 mins and really enjoyed the new ride. Did single rider for Screamin', Tower of Terror, and then used FP for Soarin'. In between all the rides we did first seating of Aladin as well... :)
Went back to DL and did Indy, HMH, BTMRR, Nemo, Buzz, and some other rides that escape me now....about 2pm went back to hotel for a rest and then returned to DL to use our FPs on Indy, HMH, BTMRR. Rode Mark Twain, jungle cruise and a couple others.
Then waited for our seating assignments for 9pm Fantasmic. Up until about 5pm the crowdes were not too bad...then it became total gridlock in the New Orleans Square, Frontierland area in front of Rivers of America. Almost no one could move. Since we had done most of the rides we wanted earlier in the day, we just stood in line for our seats, couldn't do much else anyway. Fantasmic was terrific by the way. We had seats in the reserved area next to the center light tower...you could feel the water spray and smell the black powder:laughing: and the desserts were great. We basically saved one complete box for the next day.;)
Did early entry on Saturday, rode the Omni Bus down main street (hadn't done that in years) did Buzz, Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Nemo, Indy, HMH and then did our trek over the DCA to do the same as Friday AM.
Got Soarin FP, waited for RD and did TSMM again with about a 10 minute wait.
Single rider on Screamin, then both on Mickeys fun wheel (walk on ;))
single rider on TOT and then back to Dl to do Indy, HMH, BTMRR, Splash Mountain (walk on). Seemed everyone stayed in Fantasyland and TL until later in the PM...

Used our FPs that we got in the early Am for INdy and HMH.

Saturday evening crowds were not as bad as Friday Pm but it was close...especially in NOS....and Frontierland again...

But if you know how to use your FPs, and how to beat the crowds and lines in general it was not that bad.
IN all we did HMH at least 6 times and the same for Indy...and I forgot to put in POC, which we did at least once each day at the parks.
We had a great time, but next visit will be after Thanksgiving in early December.
HMH will still be running and all the Christmas decorations will be up by then.

We were there Oct 12-16th. Tue and Wed were by far the best days as far as getting on rides quick and Friday we could defiantly feel a difference. I was even surprised how busy DCA was on Friday. We went to the 1st showing of F! and it was wall to wall people, but we were able to get an excellent spot. We were between the two PS locations with chairs just to the side and back of the planter. There was no one in front of us at all! They had some area marked as "reserved" but there were only a few people sitting in it. We went back for the last show and got even closer and it was amazing.

My DH and I were there without the kids so the crowds didn't bug me too much, other than the lines for the bathrooms. Thank goodness for the Tikki Room bathroom! Another great Dis tip!!!

We are here now. EVERYTHING was pretty much walk on today. Longest wait was maybe 10 minutes for Haunted Mansion. Everything else seemed to be 5 minutes or less. We use a GAC because our son has a form of Autism and never had to use it today.

I will check in daily and update crowds.

Any predictions for this upcoming weekend? ... Lie to me and say they'll empty the parks for just the hubby and me :rotfl2:

Well maybe they could let all of us Disers in and then close the gates after us?:thumbsup2

I have been talking to cast members while we have been here. They have been told to brace for another crazy weekend. A lot of restaurants actually have no seating available or it is late seating. We have decided to leave a day early (tomorrow) because we know the parks won't be fun. But DH has promised to come back in January to make up for it.

Last night we had a 430 at Orleans Cafe before the Tot. We rode PoTC right before dinner 5 minute wait. We walked back by at 545 and the wait was 40 minutes at least.

We could barely move to get out of the sea of humanity.
