A few months ago there were some posts about people who had flown "Song" (the Delta affiliate) and had less than stellar experiences.

Anyone flown them lately, and if so how was it?

Thanks in advance

Jim

Personally I don't know yet...... but am flying Song in February. I read alot of posts on the transportation board before making my final decision, and it would appear that all the problems of the early day transition have been ironed out. A co-worker just flew back from Florida, and the plane left 20 minutes early! No other problems.

We're flying Song in two weeks for our Thanksgiving Cruise, so I'll let you know.

Jim, I read on another thread that you're from the area which was terrorized by the Sniper. My condolences. We just went through the fires here, and the fact that the "Paradise" fire was possibly arson makes me sick. Our friends' sixteen-year-old daughter died in that fire and I don't know how her parents are going to cope.
Again, my sympathies, and I'm glad they've caught the snipers and are bringing them to justice.

just returned monday, flying roundrtip song flights from boston to mco. All left / arrived on time. Flight down on 10/27 was very turbulent...not songs fault. No cabin service because attendants were not allowed to get out of their seats. Flight home, very calm with great, funny cabin service. We fly again to MCO 11/26. Much improvement over delta express..much more leg room.

Jim,

Just returned on Sunday evening rt flights from Laguardia to MCO on Song and flights were wonderful. Great funny service

4 of us flew SONG from JFK to MCO on 11/1. E ticket checkin was breeze, the flight was comfortable and the flight attendants were entertaining but not over the top. Arrived 1/2 hr early as well. Would definitely fly with them again.

Just flew down on 11/6 from Hartford. Our flight going down was late leaving by about 40 minutes because some last minute luggage needed to get on the plane. Coming back we were about 15 minutes early. Both flights were very smooth and the Song planes have more leg room then the Delta Express used to. I would definately fly them again.

Our Song flight was in May, the first week they did the Newark to Orlando flight. Flights were fine and cabin crew were very funny and professional at the same time!!!

We flew them because they were offering a $135 R/T fare that we just could not turn down!!! I would fly them again if they offered another great rate.

<font color=navy>I flew Song in September from LAX to MCO. I didn't realize that they were an economy flight - just thought I was lucky that they were cheaper than Southwest.

There was no movie, but that was okay. Soft drinks & juice were included in the flight, and food & liquor had to be purchased. I had no problem w/that & got the cheese, fruit, & crackers - that was good for me.

In the future, they're planning on putting in individual tv/movie screens for each passenger.

I'd go on them again.

BE AWARE...Song is VERY STRICT about luggage weight...they weigh every piece at each airport and anything over 50 lbs cost $25 per bag EACH WAY! We just returned from the 11/8-15 Western Magic and flew Song roundtrip from Newark, NJ to MCO...Even though you are allotted 100 lbs (2 bags checked) avoid the convenience of one large suitcase for you to handle...and pack in two. My one was over by just 7 lbs and it counted...no break for not using the other 93. I understand that it is harder on the luggage handlers so in the future I will be wiser, but after years of traveling with weights never enforced, I was caught by surprise...
