Anybody ever book a late dinner at Le Cellier?

I booked an 8:55 dinner at Le Celllier for a Tuesday in August. By coincidence, it is Extra Magic Hours that night in Epcot.

Anyone ever eat that late in Canada?

I just wondered: Do reservations usually run on time?
Average dining time experience?
Is the wait staff rushing you to finish up since it's later?

Thanks,

Once in a blue moon they may run out of a menu item, but that's extremely rare. We've had to wait, but not as long as at prime meal times.

We've had 8:30-9:15pm ADRs at LeCellier a couple of times. Your experience really depends on the person you get, but we've always found the waitstaff and service to be less rushed since they're not looking to turn over the table again. After 9pm we've been asked to place our orders promptly though, so the kitchen staff can clean up and close down. We've never had a problem with the server rushing us, but we tend not to linger after dessert anyway. We spend about an hour and have not been the last people to leave.

We did this once; would not do it again based on our experience. We were seated very late; fireworks were over so I'd say we got seated perhaps 35 minutes past our ADR time. The place was still packed and service was good, I just hated waiting that long to be seated. Our other visits to Le Cellier have not required us to wait that long for a table.

We had an 8:30 ADR last summer, and didn't get in for more than 30 minutes. And we figured we'd have some pull, since our whole party was Canadian! :goodvibes

We were not rushed at all and had an enjoyable meal. The problem is the dining room is small, and if the earlier people linger, then everyone's left outside admiring a beautiful garden that is half Victoria's Beacon Hill Park and half Butchart Gardens. There is a beer cart, though ...

We had an ADR about 15 minutes before Epcot WS closed. Wait time and service was great. We were concerned the buses would not run 2 hours after park closure but they were.

What time of year were you there, Huff? We will be there on Tuesday, August 10th and the crowd level is rated at an "8".

I am so on the fence about this one!

We had an 8:40pm ressie this past Dec there and I was a bit upset about eating so late, but hey what can you do?

Anway at 7pm we were walking by that way and stopped and asked if there was any chance of being seated early. The host said no that he could check us in early but it would be quite a long wait and encouraged us to not do this.
I was tired and basically done for the day so I told him we would just check in and wait.
It was all of 4 mins when the waitress came to seat us!!! Thank God I said, it was a blessing after being so tired all day and hungry, I didn't want to wait.
But I still wonder why he said it would be so long when in fact it wasn't even 5 mins......?????
