Anybody else not a Domestic Goddess?

I suck at the domestic stuff too. I also don't have much interest in decorating. As far as cleaning, I visited that Flylady.net site in hopes of getting some tips, but those chicks wash their walls like weekly!

I am not now, nor have I ever been a domestic goddess. I'll do the work but I'm not happy about it.

I will admit to loving cooking though when I have the time to do it right.

Are we supposed to be washing our walls?

:lmao: No, I am not a domestic goddess. I'll just ditto everything said already AND add that I also do not enjoy decorating whatsoever. I do not watch HGTV because it just makes me feel like crap.

I always wondered about this. What does one do in a room that would make washing the walls necessary? Even in our kitchen/baths, an occasional spot clean does the job....

I have lived in this house for almost 10 years, and have never washed my walls. If there is a dirt spot, I'll pull out the magic eraser and wipe it off, but that is it. If it gets bad enough, we just repaint. But then again, we are getting new windows in the house this week. When the guy that sold them to us came over he asked how we cleaned the outside of the windows, and I just looked at him and said "I let the rain wash it off, and then I just get new windows ever 20 years"

I have no idea. By the sounds of that site, it was a daily/weekly thing. I have to assume some people enjoy washing their walls.

I have abosuetly no domestic qualities and everyone knows it.

I'm now a SAHM and trying to force myself to clean more. There is always something better to do than clean though.

You are my hero! I clean the sliders and the big window in our breakfast room occassionally, but the others don't get that dirty. I've been in my house 10 years and have cleaned them twice on the outside.

I do absolutely zero domestic work. My husband does all of the cooking, cleaning, laundry etc. I know I have not been in a grocery store since we moved into our current home and that's been a little over 6 years. I remember I did cook one meal in 2004 for Father's Day; I have not been asked to do a repeat performance.
