Anybody else love tiny camping equipment?

You know, those itty bitty, teeny weeny tents and sleeping bags, etc. that they have on display in the sporting goods department at Wal-Mart and places like that?

They are so cute, I just want to take them home and play with them!

Whenever we see them DD 7 begs me to "p-p-p-l-l-l-e-e-ase!" ask the sales people if we can buy them. When I tell her they are not for sale she gets quite offended wondering why they show kids cool things and then not let them buy them!

Me too!!! I always wondered what happened to them when the season was over or that model was done - would be cool to have them for DD's dolls!!!!

I've always told my kids that they are camping supplies for cats and when they are little they believe me! And yes, I've liked those since I was a little kid.

I love them too! A few years back I really wanted to purchase one for a project I was doing. I spoke with the manager, kept getting bounced around to different people, was given another manufacturer number to call, bounced around some more... Finally, I found out that Target (the original store they were displayed at) couldn't give or sell them to me, even when they came off the shelves; they had to send them back to the manufacturer.

After gettting the run around at the manufacturer, I found out I could purchase one for $50. It was a little more than I was willing to pay, but if you really want one, it is possible!
