Anybody else having trouble with Quests?

I was doing a quest where I had to collect more than 1 item and the last item I could see on a rug, but I could not get it to pick up.
Now I am doing another quest, and I cannot pick up the last item..but this time I can't get near it. Other people say they get all 3 items but the quest will not move on!

I just can't even get my change clothes screen to load to do that for a quest - it has been loading for 2 minutes now.
