I did not sleep well at all on our last two visits to the World. But the reason is that I can't escape my DH's snoring!

I can always escape to my guest room at home, but there is no escaping in a hotel room! There's not much I can do about that unfortunately.
I can relate to that! our last trip, we discovered some "ambient" sounds on the alarm clock. hubby suggested I try it.
there were bells chiming. .. that was just plain silly... ok, I tried the swamp noises (something like that.) nope, bull frogs doesn't help. they jsut kinda joined in the rythym of nebo's snores. ok, this should do it. the ocean. .. it was nice, breezy, sound of the ocean roar... then.. suddenly.. sea gulls! the darned sea gulls kept interrupting the soothing ocean sounds! who the heck thought of THAT one?!
I finally put the radio on, in the middle of 2 stations.. static. ah!!!
Wow! What is with all the pill poppin'? Are these drugs THAT easy to get? Looks like it! Wowza!
sounds like a Tom Cruise fan here. Sorry, some people do benefit from pharmaceuticals. it's not like people are hanging out in the alleyways, buying from drug pushers, by golly!
we've been going to the same family doctor for 30 years. yes, he prescribes
legalprescriptions.
for those who need the info, and aren't looking to insult:
hubby and some friends have found Ativan to help anxiety.
he thought that with Klonopin he was still climbing the walls... he was just climbing them a lot slower

.
It's hard on smokers who are used to having a smoke during the night.(believe it or not, it does help some smokers get back to sleep) now that there are no smoking rooms, you have to go outside and walk a long ways to do so., and are wide awake.
It is a big problem with all sharing a room. many people can't sleep with a light on. I love that the moderates (and NOW pop century) have the curtain to draw between the main area and the vanity area.
Op, I would suggest talking with your doctor as soon as possible, to try out a few things before your trip.
another thought. we like to do split stays in the parks. we RARELY do a full day, open to close.
any way you can do rope drop, enjoy a bunch of head liners, collect fast passes for that evening (same park, obviously), then head back to the resort.
let hubby take the kids for lunch at the food court and swimming while you have the room ALL to yourself for an afternoon nap? pull the drapes, put the radio on static, put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. stretch OUT on the bed, use 4 pillows!!!
good luck!and well wishes.
