(Hope 3 pictures are ok to post)

This is what our cat Goofy does:

First he pulls his bowl out from the pantry (we keep it there so that the dog doesn't eat it)

Then he scoops his food out of the bowl...

Then he lifts it up in his paw and then eats it out of his paw! He misses a lot so it usually ends up on the floor!

He is SO messy!!!!!!!!!!:headache:

Does your cat do this???

Nope, but he sure is a cutie :D

Cats have such wonderful personalities. You gotta love em.

How cute! I'll bet he's great entertainment!

No, our cat gets fed 3 times a day, because otherwise he'd eat it all at once - he just sticks his face in the bowl & eats it!

My cat has been known to push his food out of the food bowl, into the water bowl, back out to the floor and then eat it. But, he's also 23 lbs worth of cat so he obviously has bigger food problems then that. I have to cover the dog's food at night, so he won't eat it.

Cats...Such odd animals... :)

Cute! Maybe it's his way of telling you he'd rather eat it on a plate with you at the table. My cat uses his paw to scoop all the food to one side before he eats, but it stays in the dish - and he doesn't like to eat unless I stay in the room with him.

LOL -- too cute!

Nope, my Splash doesn't do that. Instead, she's got this new thing. Her water bowl & food plate are on a small area rug. She claws at the rug on both sides of the water bowl until the water starts shaking -- making waves in it. Keeps going until she gets about 1/2 the water spilled out & onto the floor.

But I love her!!!

How cute (and messy!) LOL

My cat doesn't do that with her food, but she does it with her water. For some reason, she prefers licking water off her paw or the faucet. She also jumps in the tub and watches the water go down the drain. As soon as the tub empties, she sticks her paw down the drain like she's trying to catch the water!
Cats are very entertaining to watch. :)

Very funny Cass! Our yorkie pulls out the colors he doesn't like and sets them on the floor for our cocker spaniel to eat (he eats anything!).... then the yorkie eats just the colors he likes, right now that is the red kibble from Beneful. I am continually amazed at how much personality animals have!

That is SO cute!!

Our cat doesn't eat in a strange way, however, she eats strange things.
Her favorite food is "Cheez-Its".
When we get home from the grocery store, she comes running and looks in the bags for bread, bagels, crackers, etc.....;
We call her "Carbo-Cat". :)

LOL, thanks for all the replies!! I guess all of our kitties have their own thing :p

pw2pp,
Our other cat, Slinky, he's the carbo cat in our family I would say. You see Goofy is not allowed on the counters but I allowed Slinky on the counter because he goes up to the fridge that way to hide from Goofy (Goof is a bit of a bully!) so he roams the counters now and he goes for all the bread/pastry things. He steals half-loaves of bread, muffins, bagels, buns, donuts etc! He has also stolen whole burgers from our plates!

And they both like to come and drink my milk while I am still drinking it! Goofy once put his whole face into the glass!!! ( I think I have a pic of this, I will post if I do!)

Splsh,
LOL, that is too funny! Maybe she needs to go on a Disney cruise :)

Tarralee,
That is TOO cute! That would be hilarious to capture on video!!

Cats are so darn cute! Gotta love em!

No cat stories....but we once heard this rattling around in the kitchen and went to look. The dog had stuck his head in an empty paper cube/box that Pepsi cans had come in......he was stuck and bouncing off of things!! What a DOPE!! Cant figure out why cardboard smelled so yummy he had to investigate!

Our Sienna has done that before. :) Usually because someone else is crowding the dish, but not always.

This thread is a riot! :D

Cute pics Cass. Your cat looks exactly like my Tiger, but Tiger doesn't eat that way. I do have another cat that scratches around her bowl of food like she was in a litter box??? :teeth:

One of my cats also likes to drop the food in the water dish, let it sit there for a while and then scoop it out and eat it. Another one loves Saltine crackers.
