Anybody else find these boards addictive??!!

I, like one of the previous posters, am a teacher on summer vacation. I just joined last week and have been reading so many posts already. Especially since we just joined SSR on Friday! :cheer2:

Yes! My husband is constantly telling me to "unplug." We had our first trip in June and aren't planning on returning until June, 2008. I am definitely addicted to everything related to WDW now, including DIS. I'm a teacher on summer break, I don't know what I'm going to do when school starts in two weeks, and I can't spend hours at my leisure browsing the boards.

That's a ditto for me too! Last month we finally took the plunge and purchased DVC. I used these forums for research in our purchase decission but now I just can't get enough! I also teach, so I am worried how I will feed my new "habit" once school starts! :rotfl:

I started reading for info about purchasing DVC and I have been addicted ever since! I don't have friends at work or at home that are willing to listen to me talk about how great Disney is 24/7, but here I have TONS of friends that share my love for all things Mouse related.
Now I'm a proud DVC owner, partly because of the excellent advice I got here. It's great to be around others who "get it". :grouphug:

DW says it's my style of internet Porn...till I catch her checking out the site too, then she doesn't know what to say! :rotfl2:

Does anybody else find themselves reading these DISboards for hours at a time? I have other things I need to do (laundry, pay some bills, clean, shop), but always end up spending more time reading these than I intend to. Some make me laugh, others I learn from, and over all -- I just can't wait to get back to Disney World!!! I know there is much more to life than Disney, but it is just so wonderful a place to go!

:disrocks:
Oh yes, have to agree (except maybe about the shopping part, I'll do anything but that)

Maybe before a newbie can access these boards, they need to agree to a DISclaimer acknowledging the possible addiction! :rotfl2:

Addictive. It's not addictive. I just think it is crucial that I stay on top of all the WDW news by reading the DIS everyday even though my next trip isn't for a year. :) I could stop at any time. Really.

I think the one poster said it well...no one else nearby really understands WHY going every vacation to Disney sounds like fun to me, and I am sure they have no clue why we bought DVC. It is nice to come here and read other folk's posts who understand.. "its ok to be in love with a Mouse."

Luckily, my hubby is also into it. He first started making some fun of frequent flyers here, but when he comes home he enjoys sitting here and reading posts just as much as I do. He would never write, but he enjoys reading.

I think the best thread is the DVC pics one. I love seeing those different pics..makes one homesick in a good way!

I'm just here to conduct a study on addictive habits.

Yes, that's it. . . .just here to observe addictive habits!! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I agree, fitswimmer, this board is a nice way to connect with other people who share your love with all things Disney! :wizard: My immediate family shares my passion, but other family and friends don't quite get it! Whenever anyone asks where we went for vacation they always say something like, "I bet it was somewhere Disney!" :)

(standing up sheepishly) Hello everyone my name is Sharon and I am a Disboard addict! :surfweb:

At least once a day my daughter asks me "so what's going on on the Dis Board?" :goodvibes

She knows I'll have a good story!
