We are getting ready for our first ever trip to Alaska this July.
We're currently signed up for the Glacier Floatplane excursion with Taku Lodge out of Juneau, so we can sightsee from the air and get an aerial view of the glaciers.
Strongly considering signing up for a second floatplane excursion out of Ketchikan. There is one (private) tour I found that goes into the Misty Fjord National Monument and tries to find bears as well. (We're on the cusp of prime bear-watching when we go, and the company has warned me that chances are good but not optimal.)
Trying to find someone who has done both of these excursions - glacier floatplane out of Juneau and Misty Fjords floatplane out of Ketchikan. Is it too much to do both? Not in terms of money, but in terms of being too similar? Or are the experiences completely different?
If we were going to do just one, which should it be?
Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you!
