Today is our last day at the park and it looks like we will have some groceries left over that we will not be using. Is anybody at the park that might be interested in picking them up later this evening or in the morning? This is what we have left as of this morning:
about 50 foam plates
plastic forks & spoons
several boxes left from a variety pack cereal assortment (and a 1/2 giant box of Cheerios, if anyone is interested)
a few pastries
1/2 bottle of All laundry detergent
2 boxes of Capri Sun, minus one drink several bottles of water
a 2.5 gal jug of water w/spout
a bottle of conditioner that smells like a peppermint patty (used once)

Just thought I would offer but if no one picks it up I will just be leaving the stuff for the maids. PM me with a name and phone number and I will contact whoever responds first to set up a time.

I forgot to mention that we are staying at the Anaheim Desert Inn.

How vry nice of you to offer this. I am not heading down this weekend but I think your generoity will pay you back later in life.. :cool1:

I would take them, but we don't arrive until tomorrow afternoon & won't have a car. We're at the Desert Palms (instead of the Desert Inn), and it would be too much/too far for my 8 year old and I to carry by foot.

It is a great offer though! Hope you enjoyed your trip.

No takers so far.
I would love to get them to you Vanvmom but unfortunately, we are traveling without a car as well.
Anybody else?

We aren't going for another week and a half, but this is a great idea! Several times we left stuff we couldn't pack in the hotel room, and I suspect it all just gets tossed, it's a real shame. :guilty:

One time our trip coincided with the tail-end of a friend's trip. We planned to meet up, and she surprised me by offering cups, bowls, utensils and some packaged snack food as well. It was an awesome money-saver! :thumbsup2

Disney Hot Mama, thank you for the kind comment. I didn't mean to snub you by not responding. I was quick responding on the run!

We are home now and I did not find a taker on the groceries so I just left the stuff hoping the maids could use it. Didn't have much time to do anything or think of anything else this morning. It took me all morning to get all our luggage repacked and cram in the new stuff! Barely made it by the time our ride to the airport arrived. We had a great trip but boy am I tired! Gonna take me a few days to unpack, catch up on washing, upload photos and get to work on a trip report.

I agree it would be great to have a running thread to pass along things we will not be taking home with us but that someone else might could put to use.

I hope everyone who is arriving at the park right after us has a fantastic time! We did!

I hope you are going to do a Trip Report! It will be a good one since the trip was long, and I can't wait to hear all the details and see pictures. Remember - if you took any new PhotoPass pictures, post them over on the "PhotoPass Poses" thread. We have been trying to keep it alive until folks get their PP CD in the mail!:goodvibes

Oh yeah, there's a trip report on the horizon. It just may not be this week with it being Thanksgiving week and all the stuff to do in order to get back to normal. I took a ton of pictures, (1) 2mg card and about (4) 512 mg cards, about 90 pictures DD took and the ones on Photopass. I probably would have taken even more but I loaned my camera out on day and my memory card was full when I would have taken some. Plus when DH and DS were with us I always felt rushed and did not take as many. Anyway, my point is that just uploading is gonna keep me quite busy and I gotta do that so I can make sure I don't leave anything out! My memory ain't what it used to be but if I have the pics in front of me maybe it will stir something back up! I meant to get more Photopass pics but DH and DS where a little less than enthusiastic.

Wha ta cool idea. I hope you can find someone. We won't be tere till Sunday, more's the pity.

You are not kidding about the uploading process taking a long time! Especially if your computer is old (like mine)! The PhotoPass pictures took forever and ever to load to my computer, and then I had to upload them to Photobucket to be able to post them here, and it took sooooooo much time!

I also know what you mean about feeling rushed. I was reading a couple of trip reports and the ladies who posted them took so many great photos of all the little, often unnoticed details of DLR - things that many people would never think to look at. And I was thinking to myself that I USED to do things like that in the old days (take photos of every little detail), but now my friends are either too impatient to wait for me to even snap a few photos or it is just too crowded to get a good shot or my camera is dying or whatever! I have a hard time getting my friends to stop when I just want to snap one let's-stand-in-front-of-the-pumpkin picture, let alone a bunch of picures of shop signs or weather vanes! So taking on that kind of heavy photographic endeavor for me seems to be something that would be best done over a multi-day trip, at a lesiurely pace, probably solo!!!
