any1 going in december 17 2005 on the west

Great ideas Kelley, I will be sure to hit the second hand stores when the kids get back to school. We should try and have a Dis Pirate group for the deck party. I saw one Dis group dressed up for pirate night. It looked like they were having the time of their lives!

I just purchased MVMCP tickets for Dec. 16th. Anyone else going?

Colleen

Hi Colleen:

We have our tickets for December 13, 2005. We had hoped for the 12th because that is our anniversary but there wasn't a party on the 12th. We have never been before but it sounds like it should be a lot of fun.

You will have to let me know how it was with MVMCP the night before the cruise because we are thinking that is what we are going to have to do for the 10-day 2006 cruise. We would fly in on the Thursday, go to MK on the Friday, then the MVMCP Friday night, and the cruise Saturday morning. Much more rushed than we had hoped but since my boss wanted to be so sticky about time off at the end of the school term two years in a row it is about all we can do.

Enjoy your day.

Hi Colleen, I think that is a great idea of having a group pirate party! We were on holidays last week in Maine and I found at Target some skirts & tops for myself and my girls that will be great for pirate costumes! I am going to buy a pattern and attempt to make a costume for my son and husband. Now I will just need to find accessories.

We are also doing the MVMCP on the 16th. We did the halloween party 2 years ago and had so much fun, I can't wait!!

Does anyone know if the group list went out via email?

Hey Laura and Sandra,

Well we have 3 families signed for the Dis Pirate Party! That's great!!

Sandra, we are going to the party only because my sister and her kids are flying down from Canada on Friday. They have never been to Disney before so I convinced her this would be a small, good taste of WDW. Her flight gets in at 2:20 and we plan to throw the bags in the hotel room and go straight to the park. If we are there by 4:30, we will be doing well. We went 2 years ago and we were let in at 4:00 and rode our faces off before 7:00 p.m. DD6 and DS8 love all the rides.

Oh, also I haven't received the roster yet either.

Colleen

Hi Colleen:

Sounds busy but that's how our vacations always are too. Got to get the most out of all the fun and magical moments.

The group pirate party sounds like a great idea and a lot of fun.

Hi Colleen, when you said they let you in at 4:00 the last time you went, did you only have a ticket to the party? Right now our flights have us landing at 4:30 but I'm trying to get them changed to the morning departure. This is the only day we have in the MK so I want to make sure we get in every second possible.

I also have a DD6 and a DS8.

Anyway, thanks!
Laura

First, that is cool our kids the same age. Sandra has a few girls a little older, 7 and 9 I believe. Also, nzdisneymom has a few boys our boys' age. The kids should have a great time.

Yes, if you can try and switch your flight time, I would. It is an unpublished fact that those with MVMCP tickets are allowed in after 4 p.m. No other ticket was needed! They will give you a wristband so you are not escorted out at MK closing time (5 or 6). They have a lot of CM's walking around checking wristbands and asking others to leave. They also say that at 6 p.m., those with wristbands are herded to Tomorrowland so the rest of the park can be cleared and cleaned up for the party. I personally don't remember that happening the year we went.

Colleen

Hi Laura:

Yes two of my girls are 7 and 9. They are emailing a couple of girls already and are hoping to meet some more girls before the cruise.

You should have a great time at the MVMCP. We are sure looking forward to our night there.

Take care,

Hi Sandra, I think that would be great if my kids were in touch with others their age. The only thing is we haven't told them about the cruise yet. We can't decide when to let them in on it, I am a little surprised they haven't caught on yet because myself and my DH pretty well talk about it in the open. Anyway, I sure hope they are surprised when we do spring it on them!!

Laura

Laura, we haven't told our kids either. We will wait until probably October or November. It is hard keeping a secret. You are lucky you can talk about it with your DH, my hubby doesn't want to talk about it, he just tells me to tell him where and when to be there?? :confused3

He doesn't share the same love of Disney that I do.

I am glad I can come here and plan with all of you.

Colleen

My wife and I are in for this cruise. We're in our early 30's no kids any other childless couples out there?

Welcome to the cruise. We've got a great group of people so far and you and your wife should have a blast. I don't know if there are any other childless couples. My husband and I have 6 kids, so we definitely don't fall into that category.

We've talked a bit about a meeting place on the first day, but nothing has been set for sure. We've also talked about a group party on the pirate night. Hope you and your wife are going to dress up for pirate night. It sounds like a number of people are going to.

Looking forward to meeting you and your wife.

Take care,

So how were the parks this weekend, Kathy? We haven't heard from you all weekend. Must be nice to be there enjoying the parks instead of dreaming about the parks. Don't forget about us while you're there. We've done some talking about Pirate Night today, so you must catch up on the latest plans.

Take care,

Hey Kevin, Welcome!

My husband and I will be childless when our kids go to the clubs! :rotfl2: We are hoping for a lot of that this cruise.

Yes, Kathy trip report please!

Please forgive my ignorance, what does this stand for?

I grew up in Florida and went to disney a few times - back before all the packages and definitely before DCL. But can't decipher this.

MVMCP = Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party ::MickeyMo

We have two boys; they will be 8 and 9 1/2 when we sail. Unlike others, we've told them and been planning this for Ages and Ages. It's our reward for achieving our black belts - although it was delayed from March to December to save a bazillion dollars :)

Sorry I have not posted in awhile. Summer has been very crazy. Kids are back in school as of today so life is back to normal for me.

I can not wait for the cruise. As far as meeting on Pirate night for a party that sounds wonderful to me. I have the girls costumes already. As far as mine and DH I am waiting until Halloween unless I find something before then.

Well I am off to catch up on the boards.

Have a great day

3 here.

Butch (DH)
Diane (DW)
and Kathryn 12 (DD)

thanks for the list Sandra!!!

Had a dream last night that we were on the cruise and for some reason hurricane season extended into December. (yikes) We were on day 5 of the cruise and the captain announces that there is a Cat 4 hurricane and we have to stay on ship. Our 7 day cruise became a 14 day cruise because there was so much damage at the port, we could not dock. That would be wonderful to extend our cruise like that but not a for a hurricane. The next thing I remember was getting off the ship and thinking how are we going to get home. Then my alarm went off and it was time to wake up.

So I guess in my siggy line I can write
7 Day Disney Cruise extened to 14 day cruise (then I woke up) :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a great day
Tami
