Planing to go tomorrow. does anybody have any info on x-mas decorations an crows for this weekend thanks

I heard that the Christmas tree is already up & I know that there's snow on the castle; just don't know if the whole castle is decked up yet or not.

I was there yesterday and the tree is up decorated and there are lots of garlands around. There was a tree in DCA that was up but not decorated. It wasn't that big so i wasn't sure if it was the main tree for that park or if there are several smaller trees. The castle had the snow on it but since i was chasing DS i didn't get a really good look at it so not sure if all the icicles are up.

I've seen pictures from this year that show the castle all lit up with snow and icicles at night.

I watched Access Hollywood last night and they showed main street and talked a bit about the decorations. The tree is up, took them 2 hours to do. It is an artifical tree this year with 2000 ornaments and some 70,000 lights (if I remember correctly). LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!! The garlands that strings from one side of the main street shops to the other side are not up yet. The castle had the snow on it and was lit.

There's also merchandise showing up in a lot of the stores.

That is what I am really curious about - any new and exceptionally clever knick knacks that show up this holiday season. Last year, I tried to resist and had made it into quite a few stores without finding much that tempted me. I thought could escape unscathed. However, when I went into the Gag Factory, they had some things that I think may have been sold out in other stores (which explains why I didn't see them earlier), such as the Mickey cookie ornament shown in my avatar, and my will was broken. I had to have all the gingerbread cookie thingies - magnets, ornaments, picture frames, snowglobes, mugs, etc.! I am hoping there is nothing equally as cute this year, so I can resist!!!:)

miceage has some nice pictures on it right now.

Someone told me it's an artificial tree because it has fiber optic lights on it this year. I bet it's gorgeous.

No sighting of any Channukah decorations? Anyone?

I don't remember seeing any Channukay decorations but i wasn't specifically looking for them and it was hard to look at very much with DS running around.

Also I just remembered that while we were sitting at the tables in front of the Plaza Inn, we heard Christmas music coming out of the speakers right there. I was a little surprised about that because I would think that would be something they would wait to do until the "official" holiday season starts.

I haven't been to DL recently, but they've had a menorah in one of the MS windows for a few years that I'm aware of.

I just looked on there - Miceage - a few minutes ago. (I was not sure if we could post a link to that site's Disneyland holiday page?) I like the up-to-date holiday pictures. There is no Santa's Beach Blast on the schedule this year, so maybe that means no Santa at all in DCA?? I can't see that they wouldn't have him anywhere in DCA, but maybe not. ToonTown looks great! Also, I am not sure about the "new" IASWH lighting they have going right now. It is pretty, but it is not the spellbinding, stunning, breathtaking display that it has been for the last 8 holiday seasons. I hope they are bringing the "old" holiday lighting back this week! Maybe they are skimping on lights on IASWH because they are going all out for the light show extending from the Castle up Main Street!!!!??

Cute holiday merchandise - so far, I haven't seen any pictures of anything that looks really clever or that much different from last year, but, knowing Disney, they usually have a few MUST-BUY gems hidden amongst all the other holiday things, which you don't see until you get there!

Haven't seen any photos of any holiday food items or treats yet.

- All of Main Street has the garlands stretched across, like in years past.
- New Orleans Square is all lit up.
- Main Street balconies have garland, lights, etc.....
- The Christmas tree is up and lit.
- There is LOTS of merchandise in stores. The shop in NOS has TONS of ornaments.
- And we already know about the Castle. :wizard:
- Oh! Almost forgot! The "California" in front of DCA has it's Candy Cane stripes.
That everything that I know of so far.
