Any wishing the Debate board back?

I see a "huge change" (and I think it's huge), but I love it! I see that the CB has almost gone back to the way it used to be ... although I know one can never go back.

The CB had become a place of the same types of threads being played over and over and over again (no offense meant to anyone). A lot of people drifted away because it had become a place of "themed threads" or fluff type subjects. Now there is something for everyone. And I LOVE seeing Dan Murphy's picture posts again! And I LOVE seeing the "Dan is great!" posts again! LOL!

I also love seeing a mix of opinions and the mix of ages! I find lots of new and refreshing opinions and ideas. I also find lots of the same ol', same ol'. I wondered what the "DB people" coming over to the CB was going to be like. I thought it would be the end of the CB. LOL! But I find it to be just the opposite. I really am loving it. The "DB people" aren't the boogie men/women they were made out to be. Give it a chance for the everyone to settle in and get comfortable - both the "CB regulars" and the "DB regulars", and I think it will be a new and improved CB.

No offense meant to anyone! Honestly!!!!!

Well, I for one miss the DB. I didn't frequent there that often, but I did enjoy reading the threads and participating in a debate or two. I think that there are some of us who enjoy a good arguement/debate... even when it got ugly. We stated our minds, we offended, we got offended... all part of the fun, got my juices flowing!

If one of the reasons why the DB was closed was because it had nothing to to with Disney or trip planning, well then the CB could be closed also. There are tons of threads here that have nothing to do with either, this being one of them.

If I wanted to be on a board where everyone agreed, I'd to to the Democratic Underground or Rightnation.us (formerly Hollywood Halfwits.)

The only difference in opinion there is how extreme one idealogue is as opposed to the next.

I have noticed more bickering and snide comments in threads that were NOT started as debate threads. I have noticed several threads that started out as fun discussions, and ended up with post after post of a couple of people just arguing with each other. Sure that happened before, but nowhere near the degree that it has been happening in the past week. I avoid the debate threads (and am appreciative for the folks that have been labeling them as such), because I don't enjoy an argument, but it seems that more and more threads are becoming debates--which I find disappointing.

But you keep coming back, right? When I find something Boring with a capital B, I find something else to do, I don't continue to do the same Boring thing over and over again.

But ... to each their own. If you like to stay here and be Bored, far be if from me or anyone else to stop you.

Yes, but only to get rid of the several trolls who have taken up residency here. Overall I think it is fine, but really, really can't stomach trolls, they are trash, garbage. And only a very, very few, one who has posted on this thread twice who used to have a different name before he/she was given the heave-ho awhile back, and came back to continue his/her whining and trolling.
