I have read that it was a good idea to play the Disney planning DVD for kids before a WDW trip. But after two months of waiting :rolleyes1 , I have given up that they will send us the DVD before our trip in 2 weeks.

Does anyone have the DVD and can burn a copy? If so, I'll burn a few and send them to other folks interested. I can't imagine Disney getting upset about folks making copies of their free DVD, especially if it’s just one big advertisement for WDW.

Thanks!!!

The DVD has not been released yet. No one has it. Everyone signed up months ago, and everyone is waiting.

Trust me, you'll know when it is coming - suddenly we'll go from new posts everyday about where is it, with "IT'S HERE IT'S HERE", LOL.

Good luck getting it before your trip (doesn't look like it will be here before mine either, but hey, I'm going to see it in person so I'll get over it).

I have the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids, 4th edition which is a year old. It is telling me that the DVD is not just available from WDW, but can also be gotten from most travel agents.

Did they just pre-date this information, or is it possible there was an older DVD that they aren't using anymore?

Thanks,

Joey

Disney puts out a new (or at least partly new) planning DVD each year.

Yes, they have done new planning videos (first tape, now DVD) pretty much every year for at least the last 20 years. We are all (im)patiently waiting for the Year of a Million Dreams version!

Well, I'd be happy with ANYTHING to play the kids before we go. I'd even be happy to play them the 1986 version in BETAMAX! I just have no idea where I can get an old video of any type!

Edit: who's Luke? :confused3

Have you ever used Netflix? I recommend signing up for the free trial and renting the Modern Marvels - Walt Disney World. It's kind of a lot of technical talk for kids but our 2yo enjoys the occassional scene with the Castle, Mickey, etc.

Edit: or just buy it on Amazon - it's a good show

Luke was in the Happiest Celebration on Earth planning video. He plays the part of the hyperactive, thrill seeker who is suppose to relate to teens or something.

Luke was in the last planning video / dvd. He was the "expert advice" on the thrill rides. There was also Stacey, the "best friend to the moms," who went through all the little kid's attractions, Dave, who went through all the rest and relaxation, and . . . I can't remember the name of the other person. The main girl who narrated everything. Luke was kind of annoying. I did like Dave though.

Don't forget Erin the host girl! Dave was awesome. Especially the scene when Dave threw Luke out of Rose and Crown. I've probably watched that DVD a 100 times and just noticed that for the first time two weekends ago.

That's it, Erin. :rolleyes1

There is a funny scene in Typhoon Lagoon when Luke is talking and some innocent guy gets caught up in a wave and practically pulls Luke down with him. (You do see this guy is fine walking away in the background) I geuss it shows the thrill seekers the intencity of the waves? My dd and her friend found it pretty hilarious.

Oh man, I love Luke! I think he's cute, sort of reminds me of my nephew. I like all four of them though. Better than the cheekey, annoying girl on the last DVD. But I liked that one too, except when she was talking.
