Hey everyone,
I'm new to the boards, mom has been on here forever. I'm 26, and currently live in Illinois. We usually visit at least once a year. I absolutely love it down in Florida. Here is my deal. My company has an office in the Orlando area (Zellwood) and I have been thinking about a transfer. I am fairly familiar with the area, so I was wondering where everyone is from the in area?

How do you like it? Things to do? Main places? Looking at Apopka, Mt Dora, Eustis areas. Places to stay away from?

I wouldnt transfer until next summer at the earliest, but I would love to make my mind up before then.

Thoughts?

I just moved back to Orlando about a month ago... I spent a year in West Palm Beach and missed Orlando so much I had to move back:cool1:.. btw.. what part of Illinois are you in??? I was born and raised in Illinois near Springfield... Anyway, I live in the Lake Nona area, its close to the airport and its not a far drive from anything you want to do in Orlando. Orlando is very widespread so, its not quite centrally located but its still a great location.. there is a lot to do over here, beautiful homes, great restaurants and its really booming.

I grew up south of the Quad Cities, currently live between LaSalle and the Quad Cities.

Even though Orlando is spread out, it doesnt really take long to get everywhere (depending on traffic of course.)

The big seller is the weather. I cannot stand the winters here. I hate the cold. Plus golf.....I would love to golf all year round.

I starting to like this forum. Now if Tiger Woods can say out of trouble maybe I will get some work done.

I hate what the medias done to him.. his situation was personal between him and his family and all the media did was use it as job security, which in result, made a mockery out of him... I feel sorry for the guy. He's a great athlete and does a lot for the community.
