Thanks! I will file that in my brain if we ever get back to New Orlens. By the way I think the beignets are served dusted with the powdered sugar. Is that how you like them? Or do you like to dip in the sugar too??? Now I need to go to the dining thread to look for them.... to remember if they serve them plain or dusted?YEA! Thanks for the anwer! Also, yes, Cafe du Monde is a famous eatery in New Orleans that serves biegnets and coffee. The most famous is right across from Jackson Square and the St. Louis Cathedral right on the Mississippi River. If you ever make it to New Orleans, you must try it!

The sauces are optional, but worth a try if you ask me. Rasberry and vanilla!!!
But I"m not a purist of the beignet world. Geesh...I had my first one last year at WDW at the PO French Quarters. Yum!! So you see I'm just a newbie.
I suppose you need to go to New Orleans or something crazy like that????
