Any walk in restaraunts you know of?

Since moving to Florida 3 years ago, we take a lot of last minute trips on the weekends and we walk in almost all the time. We've walked into Biergarten in Germany, Marrakesh in Morroco, Rose and Crown in UK, Sci Fi in DHS, Mama Melrose in DHS, Tony's Town Square in MK, The Plaza in MK, Tusker House in AK.

And just this past weekend while we were at Narcoossees I heard people walk in with no ADR and they were told a 20 minute wait. So really, don't stress this time of year. I think you'll have some great meals!!!

Definitely consider a big meal between 2-5pm and you should have no trouble at all. Also, right at 11am when most open you can usually squeeze in!

We leave this saturday and have only booked the Hoop dee doo review..I was scared we would have gone over the budget but surprisingly we havnt. I was wondering what my chances are so late in the game of getting a booking or just a walk in for anything? I know this time of year isnt too busy with the parks but not sure about the restaurants...just for example Corlal reef or Crystal Palace or tusker house? Any you can think of? I dont evene know if anyone takes walk ins. thanks in advance.

I would hop onto the online reservations and see what you can snag before going. You could also visit guest services in the morning at the park entrance; they'd be able to assist you in making reservations for whatever was available that day.

Good Luck and enjoy Hoop Dee Doo Review...I've always wanted to try it. Have fun!

We got back on 4/28 and were able to snag Sci-Fi for lunch with a 10 minute wait (11:30 or so), Whispering Canyon for dinner (around 7:00 after a 30 minute wait), ESPN with a 15 minute wait at 7:00, Big River Brewery for an early dinner at 5 pm and no wait, and arrived at Saana about 40 minutes late for our ADR and were still seated within 15 minutes. Do I advise going without ADRs? No. But you will eat in the off season at many restaurants without them.

One thng you could do is go to the disney web site and plug in some dates and restaurants to get an idea of what is available. If a restaurant is showing no availabiltiy today you may not have much luck with it when you are on your trip.

Not true. They overbook knowing many won't show. Just ask at the busier TSs. We overheard someone ask at Le Cel on Dec 16, if they could get a table. The girl said the nest available table was March 29.

I also agree. We were standing waiting to check in to Le Cellier 2 weeks ago when the people infront of us asked if they had a table available. The girl said they don't & that they are overbooked, they overbook for no shows.

Probably have a good chance of getting in to not so popular restaurants or when they open, or for lunch if you don't have an ADR.

I go to Orlando on Business a couple of times a year-we dont stay at Disney-we stay in the UCF area since thats where our offices are-but we almost always spend time in one of the parks-and frequently spend a couple of evenings at DTD-we ALWAYS walk up and never have a problem-Last week we did walk up at Rainforest Cafe ,Raglan Road and Fultons. Also had a really amazing lunch at the Bahama Breeze just off of lake buena Vista drive.

We had ADRS for every day of our trip in November. However, when we actually were in WDW we determined that we needed to cancel two of our reservations and add another. Our resort concierge was able to do this for us the moment we changed our minds. We were able to get Boma breakfast without any problem and it was the week of thanksgiving. So my advice would be to try to make reservations online if their are any available but definately check with you resort concierge to see what may come available each day. I believe character meals would be the hardest ressies to get and resort restaurants would be the easiest ressies to get.

We were able to walk into Mama Melrose for dinner last March, had to wait only 25 minutes for a table. Kona at the Poly for lunch is pretty empty as well (at around noon).
