Searching for some coupon codes to stack with our other discount code for a March Alamo Ressie.
The ones I have been trying to use expire before our March break trip.

I also notice there's the option to check in and skip the rental counter all together.

Can someone explain this?

If I fill out everything online do I just go from MCO across the way to the parking garages and just go up to the Alamo floor?

Yup. You fill out the online check-in information, and at the end of the process you get a printable confirmation page that has instructions. It tells you to go straight to the cars in the lot. Pick a car from your category and drive to the exit gate and present your confirmation page (the clerk there will ask for the licenses of the listed drivers, and might try to upsell fuel and insurance, but not nearly as hard as the terminal desk agents). I just did this two weeks ago for a Universal trip. There were some people lined up at the office kiosk in the garage, but you don't have to wait in that either.

Stupid question..how do I know which car to grab? We have an economy car booked. It's just my son and I so I'd prefer to be driving a small car.

For Alamo, you get to pick any car from the ones available on the aisle for your car type.

Note that if you booked with a discount (COSTCO, etc.) they *may* ask for the membership card when you present your paperwork at the exit gate. We used the skip the counter option for two rentals recently (in different cities), and one asked for our COSTCO card while the other did not.

The only way to book ALamo using a Costco discount code now requires that you type in your Costco member ID number on the rental screen.
I never go to the counter. I use the self service kiosk. Done in less than 10 minutes

As far as what car to take. Look for the economy sign and pick any car from that row

HAHA I've never looked for a sign.
I've just been given keys and a spot number at the counter. Then again I don't think the last few years rentals have been with Alamo and my DH usually get the keys and info as he's the driver normally.

DS will be excited to pick out a car.

Yes, but how does that prevent one from using the on line check-in and going direct to the aisle to select a vehicle? We've done it multiple times recently.
