any villa recommendations?

a good friend of mine from the UK is looking for a villa close to disney for 3 to 5 weeks over the summer from about July 20th (depending on price) - can anyone recommend somewhere really good for 3 adults and 4 children?

if anyone has any recommendations or have their own villa ... please do let me know

We are staying in a villa for the first time this april and I was surprised as the choice on offer through Teletext - the reviews and information are excellent

Ive stayed in the davenport area and the windsor palms area found them both very nice area's, This yr we have decided to stay in a place called windwood bay, the villa we have booked looks stunning and fits our needs, Its all really down to what you want from a villa, ie games room sth facing garden etc etc, but 1 thing i did find most of the villa's we liked had already been booked up so my advice is hurry

The closest aarae to Disney is the Formosa Gardens area - there are 3 nice gated resort developments in that area: Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms & Emerald Island

We had a villa in Emerald Island. Well situated for shops and restaurants and close to Disney. There is a little used back road quite near which takes you directly onto WDW without having to use the 192/I4/SR536 entrances.

We are seasoned off site villa "stayers" so Im aware of the different areas etc.. (as are they.. they used to have two houses of their own in Orlando).. i was just wondering if anyone had specific villas they recommended.. or they owned and wanted to tell me about it in a PM!

Indian Creek is a nice development too. In the Formosa Gardens area and very close to WDW. We stayed there last year and had a great time.

Can you gove us an idea of priorities or what they're looking for ? Stayed in quite a few villas and different people look for different things

Area? No of bedrooms (at least 4 I assume)? No of ensuites? Games room? Spa? Pool aspect? Cost ? Things to avoid?

We stayed in Windwood bay last year and are returning to the same villa this year.
Most of the villas are quite large, though some of those with South facing pools back onto the main road. Don't worry about this, there is a grassy bank between the villas & the road so you can't actually see it (or be seen!), but sitting at the pool there will be some road noise. This did not concern us at all last year as the villa itself was magnificent!!!!
We found the villa very easy to find, and although it looks quite far away from the 192, it was actually much easier & faster to get to disney from W/w bay as if you come out of the development, turn left and then left again onto old lake wilson road, this takes you straight up to the 192 with hardly any traffic. Once at the junction you can turn left, then right and go up Sherberth, or turn right along the 192 and within a few hundred yards meet world drive. Unlike some clams by villa owners, w/w bay really is only 10 minutes from disney!
Also, if you leave the development and turn right, within 5 minutes you reach the champions gate area with supermarkets etc and just past the supermarkets you can join I4 which leads to just about everwhere else!
We found it to be an ideal location.
