well you can already tell that i am a vegetarian.:hippie: i havent been to disney while being a vegetarian so i need some options. most of the time if i go out to eat i end up getting some sort of side dish which isnt very filling. does anyone know of some restaurants or food dishes that would be good for me?
thanks a billion!

YES! Many places have veg options. I've been two times since being veg, and I've found plenty. (Both DDs are veg, too, but DH is not.)

A few of my favs...
Columbia Harbor House in MK has a veg sandwich called Lighthouse. (There is also a veg chili that DH liked, but I've never been a chili fan.)

The counter service restaurant in Morocco in Epcot has some good veg options.

Sunshine Seasons counter service in The Land at Epcot has many veg options.

Although there was only one veg option each time that we visited Le Cellier (Canada in Epcot), both choices were fabulous (and Le Cellier is a steakhouse). Both times, I had questions about the choices and the wait person brought out a chef who talked to me and was very accommodating!

Crystal Palace at MK (Pooh and friends character meal) had many veg options at dinner.

On the other end, Akershus in Norway at Epcot and Garden Grill in The Land at Epcot were both disappointing veg-wise (Garden Grill was disappointing service-wise, too).

Check allears.net for menus to see choices.

And here is a good veg dining review...

Enjoy!

I have always found lots of yummy vegetarian options. If you don't see anything veggie on the menu at a table service restaurant, just ask and the chef will often be happy to put something together for you. I enjoyed Boma's buffet for dinner. They have hummus which is excellent along with other various other vegetarian options. I enjoy many of the breakfast buffets. Most of the counter service places have a veggie burger or other vegetarian offering. I hope you do a dining review when you get back. It is always fun to read about the vegetarian options people find.

Garden Grill in Epcot had a delish veggie option. It was pasta primavera and it was YUMMY! I was also able to eat whatever else was on the table (bread and other stuff that I don't remember now! ) Everything was really good though, and I'm quite picky.

For counter service -- Great grilled veggie sandwich at the Boardwalk Bakery.
The ESPN club also have a great veggie sandwich you can eat in or take out.

Spoodles has a veggie dish not on the menu -- gnocchi with marinara and mushrooms. They will also eliminate the sausages from a pasta dish that is on the menu. Spoodles also has many appetizer options that are vegetarian.

We also frequently eat at Cape May at the Beach Club. They have a huge salad bar, lots of vegetable dishes, corn on the cob, potatoes, and usually a vegetarian pasta dish. When the pasta is not vegetarian the chef has always made us a pasta dish with whatever vegetables we wanted.

Interesting note --Most vegetable soups at WDW are actually truly vegetarian, i.e. made from vegetable stock. We ask every time just to be sure, but have found this to be true consistently at Cape May, 1900 Park Fare, and Sunshine Seasons.

Have a great trip!
