AWE! I hope it is ready in time for her! My kids want to do this too! We are all excited about it I think. I was wishing that someone who had been to the other on could tell us how the food is. I know you can see the kids meal prices on the site, and that gives an idea of what the price on those are going to be.
We have actually been to the one in KC. I think the food is really good... better than Rainforest. I have 3 boys and it was their favorite place to go when we lived in Kansas. There is also a Build-A-Dino store (owned by Build-A-Bear) where kids can make a dino, a dinosaur dig area, another interactive area. I am not sure if the new one will have all of these or not. IMO this concept is even more awesome than RFC.
I cant wait to find out if it's going to be on the DDP, would Disney know yet? Maybe i should call them.\
I just called them and they said they dont have info on that yet. Soon but not yet.
I would say it is not likely. T-Rex is owned by Landrys restaurants, which also owns the Rainforest Cafe. RFC doesn't take the dining plan.
They also own Yak & Yeti, which does take the dining plan...but it's inside a theme park.
It's possible (but just speculation) that if WDW raises the price on the dining plan in 2009, which would mean raising the amount they allot for the restaurants per dining plan guest, more third party restaurants may be interested in participating.
The banner outside the construction, as of July 4, said "Opening Fall 2008"
We are going the end of Oct. and hope that it is open then and would be great if on DDP. I keep checking the website with no luck on opening date. So, if anyone gets the date let all Disers know so we can make our ADRs right away.
In the July issue of Disney's backstage pass newsletter, the T-Rex restuarant was featured, it stated opening November 2008. I access the newsletter through the my vacation tab, under travel.
