Any updates on Caitlyn?

Gosh, I was wondering the same thing this morning.

I've been MIA from the boards for a couple of weeks and the first place I came to was here to check. Have been thinking about Caitlyn and wondering how she's doing.

Anybody have news?

I hadn't called Robin's mom for awhile but just got off the phone with her.

Not really any good news. Ellen did sound better this time, a little more upbeat but she was going to be getting Caitlyn this evening so I'm sure that had lots to do with it

Robin's ex is trying to get everything left from Robin's apartment , sad thing is that Ellen knows that if he does it would just be sold or something. She is trying to hold on to the Disney collections and other things to save for Caitlyn. I dont' think he's on a great legal standing her so hopefully she can retain rights to most of the property. She strongly suspects that he already has many items that turned up missing in the first few days after Robin passed. Her ex was able to enter the apartment and spent some time there.

She has also found Robin's old lawyer and the therapists that worked with Caitlyn. They are putting together documents and will be trying to get some help on the custody issue from them.

Caitlyn is still rarely available when she calls but she has still been able to visit every other weekend. Only 4 so far Seems like not nearly enough.

One of her biggest worries is the Caitlyn is losing her joy and spark. Those that have met Caitlyn would know what I'm talking about but she's always been so happy and bubbly. Ellen is seeing some differences in that and it's hard.

I've let her know we are thinking of her. We may be able to get together in a couple of weeks. Do keep Caitlyn in your thoughts and prayers. Pray that she keeps her spirit through this.

That is so awful to hear. I was hoping we would have some better news. I just hope that her dad isn't doing anything to her that is making her withdraw like that. Isn't that usually a sign that something is wrong? I'm sure that losing her mother has made her a different child, so I sure hope that he isn't doing anything to worsen that. Thanks for the update. This poor little girl will continue to be in my prayers.

I can't put into words how I feel about Caitlyn losing her spark. I pray the custody issue gets worked out quickly and favorably.

OMG, I've been gone for months, I'm so sorry to read about Robin's death. She seemed like a caring mother. I'f I'm not wrong, she had some problems with her ex. I hope that Caitlyn is in good hands, and gets all the love and attention she needs.

Thanks for the update Janette. So sad to hear that such a sweet little girl is losing her spark. My thoughts and prayers will remain with Caitlyn. I hope in the end that things will work out in her favor. She is lucky to have a grandmother that is fighting so hard to make sure she is safe. Lets hope the system doesn't let her down.
