Any Update on Same Day FP?

Is anyone there now and having success with refresh? I have read some reports from earlier this week about the higher than expected crowds and difficulty getting same day FP? We rely on refresh pretty heavily—we had no issues getting more FP over Spring Break and July 5 this year (except we never have luck at AK), but the recent reports have me a bit concerned for our Labor Day weekend trip coming up.

Labor Day weekend is also the opening of SWGE, there is no telling for sure how that will affect things. Just go and enjoy

I had no problem last week.

Ended up getting 12 FP's the one day.
That was 3 prebooked in the morning for AK and 9 as we went at MK in the afternoon/evening.
Was even able to get SDMT and Space. Could have easily gotten Splash but didn't want it.

Another day we prebooked 3 for MK and then got another 2 then went to Epcot and got SSE, Figment, LWTL, and Soarin' twice.

We didn't try for SDFP at HS or AK since we had prebooked FP and then RD'd anything else we wanted to do.

We have had no trouble at epcot and MK. We havent been to AK or HS yet but I anticipate those being a little tougher...at least for the newer rides.

I know. We aren’t even going to HS at all that weekend...just doing Epcot and MK. Not necessarily my first choice of time to go but it coincides with other family members trip and time off school. Hope it won’t be crazy, but I guess it’s better to expect the crowds

I am guessing you will run into two groups ... the large group hanging out at HS and the other large group doing everything thing they can to avoid HS. The question is, how many will there actually be and will they use FP or be the random wanderers

I hope there are a lot of aimless wanderers On our last trip we were in line to meet Jasmine and the family in front of us was asking about what the fast pass entry is for the rides they had kept seeing...they had been already in the parks four days and had not used a single FP. They were amazed when we told them what they were...

Epcot seems to be real good for same day FPs. Soarin seems to be pretty easy to get with no more than a couple of tries, sometimes with a return time that isn’t far out. Frozen and Test Track pop up now and again too.

ETA- just for amusement I just went to MDE to see what I could get for 2 people at Epcot for tonight. This was at 7:15 Eastern time. On the third refresh I could choose (among others) Soarin for 7:55 or FEA at 8:05. I wouldn’t call that typical, but it can happen if you’re persistent.

Tap on a time and check for available attractions. Rinse and repeat.
