Any update for on-line check in?

We will be leaving for our trip on July 5th staying at the BCV. Does anyone have any recent experiences with the on-line check in? Is it something we should try? Thanks

I have never waited in line to check in at BCV, therefore on-line check in is of no benefit.

It does seem to lead to great occurrences of members getting their rooms upon arrival. Part of the on-line checkin process requires you to enter your time of arrival. They may be using that to pre-assign rooms.

Also there was a new thread the other day about a member who suspects his/her credit card info was stolen somewhere at WDW. Since you enter your card info on the 'net, there would be no risk of a CM swiping it thru an illegal card reader while your back is turned.

Aside from that, there doesn't appear to be much benefit to the on-line checkin. Waits at the front desk are about the same.

Having gone thru it myself, I don't have any reason to recommend someone NOT use the on-line checkin. It didn't cause me to wait any longer than I would have otherwise. But it didn't save me much time either. Under different circumstances (larger crowd in the lobby) it might have saved time, but I really don't know for certain.

We arrived at OKW at 2:30 (our predicted arrival time) and our room as requested was ready. There's a note on the check-in package that says :Online check-in, CC, and to "Check requests".

Line for online check in = ZERO
Regular line = too many to count!
