Any Truth to the ADR Resort Hierarchy?

A few months back I remember reading about a supposed (unconfirmed) hierarchy that was going to begin with ADRs. From what I remember it was something like: Deluxe Resorts get 1st choice at ADRs at 180 +10... then Mods... then Value... then guests not staying onsite.

Did this happen- is this happening now? Anyone know the *true* pecking order if one so exists (ie. does the most expensive room get the best choices of ADR times) or was this all just a rumor?

I don't believe it. We have never stayed at anything other than values and I have always gotten the ADR's I wanted. In fact, for this trip I booked my ADR's way before I booked a room ressie and was able to get everything I wanted.

Don't forget DVC, weren't we supposed to get first shot?

If you're not staying onsite you don't get to make 180 + 10 reservations at all, so that's the only heirarchy I can come up with. I don't see it happening in practice. To my knowledge you don't have a better shot at a hard to get reservation depending on the type of resort you're staying at.

that's it. off-site gets the leftovers of anyone staying onsite booking 180 days in advance...after that it's a level playing field
