Any tricks for the day before weigh in?

Do you do anything different with your exercise plan or eating the day before your weigh in day? I weigh in on Wednesdays so on Tuesdays I try to not drink a ton of water or drink it early in the day, I try to have an early dinner and I try to stay away from salty foods. I don't know if it helps but I still do these things. Is there anything you do to try to improve your weigh in numbers the day before you step on the scale? Do you stay away from certain foods or drinks?
 
The way I look at the weigh-ins is: "it is what it is". I can do little tricks to make me weigh in at a little less, but either I've lost the weight or I haven't. Once at WW, I was about 0.3 pounds from some goal (my 10%?) and the receptionist told me I could go to the bathroom and take off my underwear if I wanted, to make that goal. :eek: I didn't. I just figured that I'd have to work a little harder the next week.

Now, I DO do things like avoiding salty foods, etc. the day before, but I just kinda figure that if the loss doesn't show up THIS time, it will NEXT time. ;)
 
Isn't it silly how we do this, but those numbers are so important for WI. They keep me going, so doing everything I can to make them low keeps me going.

Ok, here are my rituals. I WI in Monday nights.

I exercise early Saturday, and don't exercise on Sunday or until Monday after WI.

I try to avoid salt or salty foods over the weekend until after WI.

I eat my breakfast and lunch early, and drink 3 cups of water before noon. I try not to drink much in the afternoon, and finish my water drinking after WI.

I don't eat dinner before going to WI.

I get on the scale with nothing on, then weigh myself after each article of clothing. If it makes my scale jump up too much, I find somethin lighter to wear.

I know these things sound silly, but I feel like they make a difference. I know in the overall scheme of things, it doesn't really matter and we will still weigh the same no matter what we wear.

Anyway, it worked yesterday I lost 2 pounds! WOOHOO!
 

Funny how different I am. I guess I may have it all wrong.
==I WI in the a.m. and realize that eating breakfast is most important. I have my hb egg and coffee after my 12 oz of water as I normally would, as I think I read in Atkins that I should eat within an hour of waking.
==I figure as long as I keep relatively to the same routine that my WI will be consistent. I don't belong to any formal group that I must go to for WI. I have located an accurate scale to use when I do my weekly WI.
==The day before WI I drink TONS more water or at least make sure I get in all the water recommended for me during each day.
==I also try to stay away from the salty foods.
==I make sure that I get in a good exercise the day before too.
==I don't worry about the water sticking...it really goes right through me so I guess by the time I would WI it would be gone. I figure that I wash out all the bad stuff this way.

Oh well, it works for me. You do whatever it is that works for you.

The numbers are good and fun to enjoy for me. I also try to remember the journey and the meaning of WISH. It keeps me going when the numbers don't.
