We are staying at the HOtel New York at the begining of July - 3 adults, along with a 5 year old and a 5 month old baby.
Our 5 year old wants to see every princess that is going! Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid etc. etc!! We are arriving early Wednesday and leaving early Sunday, what are the chances of making her dream come true and meeting them all and take the all important photograph?!!
Also, I have not seen anything about this, but is there tea/coffee making facilities in the room - I guess not as nothing has been mentioned?
Is it worth making a trip to the nearby hypermarket - any good?
And one last thing (sorry to go on!), we will need a cot for our 5 month old - has anyone has one of these before, will there be one in the room or will we have to "remind/order" it when we arrive?
Sorry for all the questions! Best Regards :goodvibes

Hi seaside mum and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

You should manage to get round most of the Princesses but a recently introduced Princess character meal at Auberge de Cendrillon may just be up your street :)

You can get a kettle from reception for a returnable deposit and order a basket of supplies, if you don't bring your own tea bags.

We stated the need for a travel cot when booking, but you may have to remind reception just to make sure :)

a word of warning about the kettles from hotels - in peak season (defintely july) there are a lot of british guests, so obviously the kettles go quite quickly! it might be worthwhile investing in a travel kettle (and adaptor!), and take your own teabags/coffee, i would say.

We recently had a princess character meal at Auberge. You can read about it on restaurant FAQ thread. Seems expensive but worth it for experience. Also menu posted there as well.

We also met quite a few Princesses with their Princes near Belle Notte restaurant towards Small World. This wasnt advertised as meet and greet but were there about 11.00ish. It was a free for all though not an orderly queue.DD was wearing her Belle dress which caught Belles attention.

The Princesses can also be seen in the parade. Make sure DD waves at them as often wave back especially if see DDs dressed as princess.

If your DD doesnt get to meet her favourites you could always send her a postcard from them (writing disguised of course) to say Thank you for coming to see me and waving to me in parade.

When we took my niece at Easter they asked when checking in if we require a cot, and by the time we went to the room 30 minutes later it was already there with all new bedding.

We saw lots of Princesses in Fantasyland by Its A Small World as mentioned.

I would recommend reading A Brits Guide to DLP by Simon Veness, a very informative read.

The Hotel New York is my favourite hotel I have stayed in:thumbsup2
