any tips

Get there early.
Use Fastpass.
See shows when it gets crowded.
Get you spots early for parades, fireworks, and Fantasmic.
Eat at times when others are not (makes for shorter food lines).

Yes. My biggest and most helpful tip for us is not to plan your trip to death. If you have too much stuff that you have planned to get done then you will be stressed. Just book a couple of things you really want to do at times of the day that will be convenient and then let the rest of your trip flow at a comfortable pace. Also, hit all the kidding rides when the park first opens if you have little ones because there will be hardly any lines. Most importantly, have fun.

I think the most important thing is to get there at park opening you will be amazed at how 'empty' the park is. Have a good trip!

There are LOTS of great tips here, all you have to do is read them. :)

I'd start with the stickies at the top of the page to get basic information on hotels, restaurants, transportation, etc. Then you can scroll through the other post titles to see if any might be of interest to you. If you have specific questions that you don't see answered or discussed, ask away! The people here are most helpful.

Oh, and HydroGuy's Rules are extremely helpful as well. Those SHOULD be a stickie!

I say take a tour. Tour's are a great way to see the park and learn a few extra little tidbits about the park. You can also ask your guide all the annoying questions you might not want to ask other people. Like where can you buy a dole whip. When we were there we asked every CM we found where we could find a dole whip and not one of them knew what we were talking about but our guide did. The dole whips are by the tiki room.
Anyway that's my advice, take a tour.

That's so true. On our first visit to DL we looked for Ariel's Groto(didn't know it was is in CA) and some CM took us to her photo spot and others said there was no such a place there.

Were staying with family so we dont have to worry about that. were not worried about food, I carry my ensure everywere.

man, Disneyland is too big to know everything. The best way to get an answer is ask a CM in that department. If your gonna ask for where popcorn is, ask a ODV member, rather than attractions... etc etc...

Well when we were looking for our dole whips we asked all the little cart places. Like frozen lemonade stands, popcorn stands, churro stands, all the drink and ice cream stands because we figured they would know where teh dole whip stand was, being that they're a stand too. But none of them knew. I understand about the park being too big to know everything but you'd think at least one of the ppl we talked to would at least know what a dole whip was. Oh well.

ODV=Outdoor Vending.

Dole Whips are in front of the Tiki Room.

But take you for instance, you KNOW a whole bunch.

Since FPs are free, of course they're worth it. Just know how to use them. For example, Don't get a FP is the stand-by line is 20 minutes or less unless you know you'll be wanting to ride more than once. Once you get a FP, don't just hang out by that ride until it's good. Go to another ride, eat, shop, see a show. You don't need to get back to the ride the second the FP window opens. In fact, you don't even have to come back during the window. You will not be allowed to use the FP before the window opens, but there's no problem using it after the window is technically over.
