Any tips for Star Wars Weekend??

We are attending the first Star Wars weekend this year (weekend of May 19). It will be me (24m) and my best friend (24f). What day of the weekend would you advise we go? What events would you consider "must sees" at Star Wars weekend? What should we try to get done first? Any tips would be appreciated!!

You need to find out what Celeb's will be there on your dates. SW Wknd actually starts on Friday so if you are there on Friday go then!! If you want to see any celeb's (photos, autographs) then do that FIRST. It will be crowded. I think they hand out tickets like a fast pass for you to return to see the celeb at a specific time that day. We got there early last yr and the tickets for Peter Mahew were already gone. I mean we got there real early, like when the park opened but by the time we got our three kids back there and found out where we needed to go, all the passes were GONE! I didn't care much but DH wanted to see him.
There are certain items you can purchase that are SWW only so I would suggest getting a souvie like that if you are going to purchase any souvies. And my only other suggestion is to get there when they open!

We'll see ya there, I booked last night. The real big difficulty is getting into the gift shop. Last year they sold out of Darth Mickey the first weekend. Prepare for lines, and get friendly with the escort CM's, they'll give you the schedule for when each character is going to be where.

I was thinking of going that weekend. Not for Star Wars, just to get my Mickey fix. Does anyone know if all the parks are crowded or just MGM?? I think I might have to check out the star wars stuff anyway, that sounds fun!!!

We'll be there too!!!! Our first Star Wars Weekend was last May and it was WONDERFUL~!!!!! We SO can't wait to go back!!!! Maybe we'll see you!!!

cool, I've never seen the snowtrooper costume before, except for in TESB!

That's my personal costume, not Disney's. My group's costumes are actually better quality than the ones Disney uses!
