Any Tips for Pecos Bills?

I think eating dinner here will work well into our plans. We have never eaten here. It will be a very busy evening as it's sandwiched in between xmas parties. Hopefully we can mobile order, but I have not had the best luck with the app working when I want to order. Any tips/tricks for this location (like "secret" seating locations, etc...).

Also, my son is pretty picky, but I see mac and cheese on the menu. Is it pretty standard kids mac and cheese or is it "fancy?"

Thanks!

The mac and cheese is the standard Disney mac and is not the fancy stuff with actual cheese. Funny how this is a universal kid issue but restaurants continue to be optimistic that kids will like quality ingredients.

The seating area can be rather busy. As you walk from the food counters, past the restrooms, there is a ramp (almost at the exit) that goes up to another seating area near Tortuga Tavern. There are some indoor and outdoor tables up there that you can try if the regular seating is jammed.

I used mobile order here a couple of weeks ago with no issues. Make sure you have the latest version of the app and cross your fingers! FYI, you can build your order way in advance if you want to avoid real time frustrations in the busy line.

We love PBs. We try to eat at like 130 and for supper. 7 ish. Much less busy and all.

The seating area can be a form of hell on earth. The condiments counters are frequently a mess. The noise level is high. The least picky member of our party (trust me he is sooooooo not me on that level :lmao:) told me we are nevah to step foot in there again. Works for me.
It is very economical which I suppose is it's biggest calling card.
You've been forewarned.

Yes, PB can be one chaotic nightmare in terms of seating and that condiment bar. Given a choice I prefer CHH over PB.

Thanks - good to hear both sides. We will be in between FPs for Pirates and Splash, however, we could also have dinner between Splash and 7D. I'll research some more alternatives to compare.

We eat there every trip and find it really good. A time or two we did have to search a bit for a table but found one. The condiment bar is awesome and we have never found it a disaster. We do a qs meal there every vacation.

As mentioned above, go during a non-peak time! We went around 1:30 and had plenty of seating options. Order your food first, find a table, then use your tray to get cups of toppings from the fixins' bar and let everyone share. This is easier than everyone going up individually. Enjoy your trip!

We go to Pecos Bill’s every trip!
We go at 11:00 am for an early lunch or 4:30pm for an early dinner. We do not have trouble finding seating (for a large group - usually 8-12 people) at these times of day even when the park is incredibly busy. We are often even at tables right near each other.

We went last year around 6:00 on our party night. It wasn't crowded at all.

I used to love Pecos Bill's. No more. It is a pig sty and the food quality has declined badly.

We tried PB for the first time our last trip and absolutely loved the food! The service and seating wasn’t great, but the amazing food made up for it. Seriously one of our favorite meals of the trip.

We love Pecos and hit it every trip.

This is what I do as well. I hold the tray while my DD uses the little white ketchup/mustard cups and fills them with toppings (lettuce, onions etc) so we can build our food once we’re seated and not surrounded by people and their elbows.
Much less stressful that way.
