Any tips for FOP and a small head?!

I rode FOP in Sept and although it was amazing the experience was marred by me having to hold the glasses on my head! I would have preferred to hold on with both hands and lean into the dips but couldn't. Do they have kid sized glasses?

No, they don't. :( My DD (5) had trouble with that when she rode it the first time, so DH and I had to help her during the ride. The 2nd time, we planned ahead and put her hair into french braid pigtails, and were able to wedge the glasses into the braids! :)
So are they like normal eye glasses that have two bars or stems that go on the side of your head (I'm sure there is a technical term for these!), rather than a band that goes all the way around the head?

yes they have legs.

I have a freakishly small head, I actually have to buy my caps in the children's department so the first two times I rode it I had to hold them on. I got smart last week and wore a good old fashioned cloth headband and tucked the legs under the head band. Probably looked silly but did the trick. I wore it around my wrist the rest of the day.http://www.goody.com/Products/Goody...e0c&c_id=1a7ea079-c44c-481e-8d02-db7cd0b32277

I also buy hats in the children's department. Thank you so much for this tip. I will bring a few headbands along.

I have a small head, maybe not child size, but not adult either. I always had to hold the Aladdin glasses at Disney Quest in place. Any idea the if the size is about the same?

Yes, about the same. A pp was right, a stretchy headband will take care of it.

Thanks, I'll plan to do this.

Thank you, this is a great tip!

I am glad someone brought this up- I didn't even think about this as a problem for me -an adult with a small head and my 5yo DD

My daughter didn’t ride because she freaked out about the glasses falling off. I meant to take a headband to secure them and forgot. I was a bad mama and sent her out with her Daddy while I rode. I still feel a little guilty for that. But that was an awesome ride.

My DD an I had the same issue with the glasses on our first flight. And from reading these boards it’s a pretty big (no pun intended) problem for many folks.

For our second + flights, as soon as the glasses were handed to me I began to carefully bend them inward and held them that way until it was time for us to put them on our nuggets. This method worked very well for us. No more one handed flying.

Glad I read this, thanks for the tip on bringing a stretchy headband. My head is average I think, but I do know my mom said she had trouble with them slipping when she rode in November which I forgot about till reading this!

So glad I read this now I have to add a " sweat band" to my list just for that ride and pray I remember to grab it the day we go to AK lol

I’ll have to do this too now! I wear kid sized glasses normally so I’m definitely going to have to bring something to hold these things on. I don’t want the glasses to ruin my experience.

Does anyone here have experience of wearing the 3D glasses over regular glasses? I was going to bring headbands for my DDs, and they both wear eyeglasses. It seems like that would affect the fit somewhat. But maybe not enough?

Yes! Thank you! I thought I was the only one! We went in October and FOP was not so fun when I am trying to hold the glasses on my face and the simulated wind is making my eyes water.

IDEA: I have already prepared an idea for our February trip. I didn't even think of it at the time but I use a Chums Slim Elastic eyewear strap for my sunglasses at the parks (we go bag-free and I can just drop them around my neck for rides). I am going to disconnect my sunglasses and use the strap on the Ride glasses next time.
