Any tips for Dec trip??

Bump ... DH and I will be there Dec 18-23

We will be there from Dec 17 to the 23rd. I found Mickey and Tigger magic gloves at Deals ( a dollar store ) I bought enough for all of us.

I include packets of air activated hand warmers for Dec. trips. You can buy them many places but I usually get mine at Wal Mart and most of the time they're in the hunting section. They are small so take up very little space in luggage and if it's cold, these come in VERY handy...especially if you're cold natured like I am . There are also toe warmers & a larger size called a body warmer...all are very inexpensive at WM. I think a pack of 6 hand warmers is less than $2.00.

We're going to be there 18-24th, too! Seems like a lot of people share my dates! (and resort!)
I never really considered the cold weather and packing for it..

I'm from WV and it's usually below freezing here in December and I can (normally) get by with just a cap, scarf and jacket.. Does anyone else share the same general weather pattern? I'm thinking we'd be okay with sweatshirts/long sleeves.. because we're so used to being cold, it doesn't phase us as much..
Just wondering what other people from a similar place think of what to pack for Dec.

We'll be there Dec 9th-18th doing a split stay at POFQ and CSR. I've already bought tickets for MVMCP and will be buying the pkg for the CP as soon as they go on sale this Monday. I'm extremely cold natured and plan to bring a variety of clothing (shorts, t-shirts, pants, fleece pullovers, thernal underwear, gloves, scarf, and toboggan). I'm sure I'll have two checked bags, plus a carry on. Anyone have any ideas how to cut down on the luggage? This past January I packed everything, but the kitchen sink and didn't use even half of it.

We are going from the 11-18, but went two years ago during Pop Warner and it was fine, just some cheerleaders occasionally practicing out on the lawn (we stayed at POR). It did not bother us at all. The weather that year was very pleasant. During the day we wore jeans and sweatshirts with t-shirts underneath, and by afternoon you could be just in a T-shirt. Needed a sweatshirt for nighttime. DH wore shorts, but he's like that! We're just a few hours away in S. Ga, so our weather is almost the same and I can tell you December is very unpredictable. You can have one day VERY warm, the next day freezing so bring it all and be prepared. I would much rather have the weather a bit colder than burning hot like a summer trip. Oh, and DH and DS did swim everyday in the heated pool, but it was a bit cold for me (not the water, just the outside air).
