Any thoughts on Seralago or Buena Vista Suites? Suggestions for rental homes?

We're looking to go May 21st - 28th, 2005 so I know our options may be limited.

We prefer staying off site for several reasons. Someone mentioned booking at Seralago Hotels so I looked them up and they have neat room options (kidssuite or 2 room suite) -very reasonably priced. I'd love to hear any input on the hotel. I'm leary of going somewhere without some first hand feedback.

EDITED: I reserved a room at Buena Vista Suites (for now) -- didn't like the feedback I found on Seralago hotel. Any input on BVS would be appreciated!

Our other option is renting a house. 3/4 bedroom with pool and whirlpool (if possible). Can anyone point me in the right direction? Again, I'd much rather look at places that someone else has feedback to offer.

Thanks!!

Joellyn

Seralago was formerly known as Holiday Inn Maingate East. Try roomsaver.com for coupons for it.

We are staying at Buena Vista Suites also--5/20 throu 5/26.
I have not stayed there--but--last time we went 2 years ago we stayed at what is now the Nick Hotel. It was great then--loved the area--very clean, very very close to the entrance gate--every hotel we drove past was lovely. When I went to rebook, the rates almost doubled I guess cause its now the Nick Hotel. So I booked Buena Vista suites because it is right down the street from the NIck Hotel and we really liked the area.

Plus it was on the DIS boards--so I'm hoping that means its nice.

Would sure love to hear from somebody that stayed there too!

We will be there June 5th through June 12th. I didnt book the room but it will be $600 for the week- is that a good price? We are staying in the fountains section.
We are going to Disney!
Thanks,
K

I think that's about what we got--great rate. I think their regular rate is $130/night. I booked the hotel through Disney--its a good neighbor hotel so you can make your ressie right through WDW. When I asked what good neighbor was, the CM told me that the hotels have to meet certain quality standards or they can't join. Anyway, when you call WDW, they give you a package deal if you also buy tickets. So we got 6 nights there, 6 day MYW passes with Park Hopper and a rental car reservation all for $1800. I priced each thing separately, and this saved us over $150.

I also went to mousesavers.com and they list it as one of only 6 preferred off-site hotels. The guy that rated it said that he went there personally, I think as recently as last summer.

Lets all keep our fingers crossed--I'd love to stay on property some day--but for now, this will have to do!
