Any thoughts on Holiday Inn Maingate East? Any alternative for same $$?

Any thoughts? We are considering staying here for 2 nights in mid-October while we do non-WDW things (staying at the WL for the rest of the week). Any thoughts, good or bad, about this hotel? Is there another hotel you think is better for about the same $$ (~$50/night incl tax). Thank you!

We stayed there for our trip in April 2002. The room we had was a bit shabby(outdated decor,patched tub ect..). The room came with a 2 cup coffee maker, sm. fridg.,ironing board. We asked for a better room & got one. The pool areas were o.k. but we had to walk quite a way to reach the area with the kiddie pool. There is a laundry area if you want to wash your clothes but you should stay with them as someone dumped our clean & dry laundry onto the floor so they could use the dryer. We also had our deterg.,fab. softner and pool goggles stolen there also but that could happen anywhere. We didn't eat in the restaurant but had room service for breakfast and it was fine.
