We are planning a trip to Disney in late January. My mom-in law booked a stay at Cypress Palms...Has anyone stayed there recently...? Would love any comments. Do we need a car?? How about activities for the kids? How far from Disney...?

I have to admit I had my :Pinkbounc set on "on-site".

Would love some feedback...

We just returned from a week in a two bedroom unit at Fairfield Orlando Cypress Palms. We did not utilize the activities but they did seem to have quite a few things going on in the activity center. I glanced over the activity sheet and there was something planned throughout every day.

The room we had was very nice. It was a standard two bedroom unit. It was only the two of us so we had plenty of space. We did not use the second bedroom at all. It was also nice having the jacuzzi tub to relax in after a long day of walking.

They do offer a shuttle to the parks but I think it was $3 a day. We had a rental car so we did not use the shuttle service. It is down 192, a couple of miles East of World drive. You can walk to a few restaurants out front on 192 including Cracker Barrel, Pizzeria Uno, Macaroni Grill, Chilis, and Krispy Kreme.

We did not have any pressure to attend a meeting and check-in went smoothly. We had one a week on skyauction for this stay.

We prefer the space of a condo/timeshare over a hotel. We usually eat out for lunch and dinner but it is nice to have a place to make breakfast and have snacks when you come back from al ong day at the parks.

I have pictures of our unit. If you would like me to email you a couple then pm me.

We liked it... here's my review from our Feb. 2004 visit. I do recommend a car for any offsite stay since the shuttles are much less frequent than most people prefer. There's much more detail in that review. Enjoy it - we'd go back. :)

Thank you both for your feedback and information. I feel so much better knowing folks have been there and liked it...would even go back....:) WOW!!

You blessed me Today.....Thank-you!!!
