Any thoughts about Marrakesh?

We had dinner there Xmas day and it was mediocre at best. Definitely not a place we'll hurry back to anytime soon. :sad1:

We tried Marrakesh last year and it was one of our favorites. They have music and belly dancers during certain times of the day and that was a lot of fun to watch. We were very impressed with the food but we also like trying different things-so if you have picky eater this may not be the place

We like it too. :) This restaraunt seems to get mixed reviews around here. Half of the folks thinks it was pretty good & half think it was bland. I seem to see a pattern though. Most people seem to find the chicken dish bland, we tend to stick w/ the lamb entrees and are generally pretty happy. HTH!

We went in Sept and absolutely loved it...dining is subjective and you will hear a lot of opinions (mostly negative) My advice, if it interests you try it .I always try something ( even if it gets negative reviews)at least once.

We love Marrakesh! Love the apps and I love the chicken couscous...SOOOO good!
I like the atmosphere and the belly dancer, too.

Marrakesh is definitely worth trying at least once. The ambience is great and the belly dancers are fun. Both my fiance and I are adventurous eaters: I liked the food at Marrakesh (not the best Morrocan I've ever had but good) and my fiance was not enthusiastic about his dish. I did have a lamb dish and it was wonderful. We also tried the combo appetizer plate and they were all fantastic.

Bottom line, try it once!

Love it, love it, love it :lovestruc

Give it a try!

We will be there in 5 weeks and it is definitely on our list as a must-do!:cool1:

Just my two cents... Go for the theming- one of the best in WS! However, if you know and love authentic Morroccan (sp?) food, I think you'll be disappointed. Flavors are well watered down.

The theming is great. I liked it but DH did not. I think it is worth trying as long as you are willing to try new foods and different tastes.

I like the atmosphere, but found the vegetarian dish rather boring. And the vegetable chunks are HUGE....which seemed weird. I don't understand why they weren't cut up into smaller bits and mixed together with the couscous more. Still..it was certainly edible. My boyfriend on the other hand really enjoyed his food. I'd eat there again, but it wouldn't be a top pick or anything.
