Any tax attorney's out there???

I belong to a MOMS club, and we are putting on a bake sale. We are planning to donate what money we raise to charities. But, a few weeks ago, one of our members got news that her daughter, who has cancer, is getting worse. Her brain tumor is getting larger, this after Chemotherepy. So my question is, we as a club would like to donate our bake sale money to their family, but will this be violation of our non-profit title?? Any help would be great!
