We live in the uk and are scheduled on a 7 night Med cruise departing Barcelona ending in Rome 6th June which was booked to celebrate my daughters birthday.
It’s my little grandkids DCL fix for the Summer. They are 4 and 16 months right now. They are excited. They are too little to understand this virus.
So at the moment if DCL sails to Europe in May then we are in with a fighting chance of them just rescheduling their debark port in Italy.
But there is an advisory for Italy and for all cruises in general which might invalidate our travel insurance.
If DCL doesn’t bring the Magic to Europe at all then I found an Alaska cruise leaving Vancouver which coincides the birthday but as quickly as I found it The Canadians have placed blocks in cruising until July.
If I’m correct that leaves one Seven night Cruise from Miami and that’s it? This particular cruise also seems expensive for what it offers.
However of course we are also grappling with is it safe to cruise right now!
I’m honestly going around in circles!

With the uncertainty going around, I would advise you make reservations in two different countries that didn’t include a cruise, then also book The most extravagant UK vacation you ever thought about going on but was out of your price range.
Throw them all against the wall and hope one of them sticks.
Im going to research 2 other (January 2021) vacations because my parents are 78 with assorted complications. I’m looking for a driving vacation(that won’t be too far) and a US trip.
good luck with your planning hope you’re able to find something to work out.

Thank you. It was heartbreaking today to listen to the three year old telling her baby brother that he would be on The Mickey Boat soon!!
I could take a super last minute Disney Paris trip but of course that’s assuming that it’s open again !

We've got an October cruise booked on the Magic and at this point I'm not even confident they'll be sailing by then. My alternative plan to celebrate a birthday would be to find something local but still special to do, something you might not do otherwise but that the kids would still enjoy. Are you near London? When I took my then 2 and 6 year olds to London, they had a great time at the Natural History and Science Museums, the Princess Diana playground with the pirate ship near Kensington Palace, afternoon tea at the Orangery, and watching the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Sometimes being a tourist on your own turf can be a lot of fun! Who know which if any of these institutions might be open in June, but planning for this kind of trip would be relatively low-risk I imagine.

Yes thank you. We are only a short train ride away from London so could look for alternatives .
I do have a deposit down on a Caribbean cruise in October so possibly we could switch to that and it’s not too long to wait because I just want to give the kiddies their Disney fix somewhere.

That’s still three months away and will be Summer time. I would hold tight. Theres no cruises out of Miami in June. Did you mean Port Canaveral.
