Any suggestions on something special to have waiting in room?

Have you seen the "Great Hotels" of GF where the chocolate extravaganza is waiting in Samantha's suite? And the strawberries with chocolate "tuxedos"? I would like to arrange something thru AKL concierge to be waiting in our room next month for DD and my parents. DD in particular is a chocoholic and would probably prefer chocolates to anything else, although I do have a few other surprises in store...Anyway, has anyone ever done this? What would you recommend. The man from concierge who called me told me they do this thru their in-room dining...Any actual experience with any of these food items? Thanks!

Check out www.disneyflorist.com! They have some great choices. Also, my parents are staying at CR in Oct for their 44th anniversary and I want to have a special cake in their room for their arrival (like the one's everyone saw on Food Network's show about Disney Dining) Anyway, they told me to contact the Contemporary itself. After speaking to a great CM, she said it can be done, but that I would need to call at the end of September to get it set up. So, I suggest calling AKL or even calling Disney Florist themselves for this. Have a great time! I hope next year will be my AKL time!

You should be able to get anything set up directly through AKL Concierge. Did they offer to call in-room dining for you to arrange for the items that you would like?

I'm not sure you can have items from a florist delivered to your room before you arrive. I read on these boards that the policy had changed.

If you want something in your room when you walk in definately call AKL Concierge back and they should be able to arrange it for you. They can have food items, gifts, whatever you can think of.
