Any Suggestions for Florida Resident Code?

They just released Florida Resident code today. I'm going marathon weekend and booked the Contemporary LONG ago with hopes of changing to a resident code when they were released. The only thing they have left is a tower room for the same amount, still very pricey, was hoping for garden wing in the $150 - 200 range. It seems all the resident codes are for the deluxe rooms (at every hotel!) instead of standard so I'm having a hard time finding a room and a good rate. I checked for the code everyday for 6 weeks, I called as soon as it came out, I got my room ahead of time, I feel I've done everything right and still can't catch a break. Can you feel the self pity

Any alternative suggestions?

Where did you see the code posted. I have been waiting for it also.

On the Disney Website under Florida Resident "Value Resorts" but the code is good for all resorts (IF they have a room).

I think that maybe with the BRP any disounts on the standard rooms are booked. And with the non refundable deposit, unlikely to change unless someone changes their dates that has the BRP res. If you're ok with the price, upgrade to the tower room. If you're more interested in a lower price, maybe check alternate resorts...Wilderness Lodge is still near MK, but not sure if there will be rooms available there since it is pretty popular. Also Ft Wilderness Cabins...I think they're great, but not everyone's cup of tea.

I just checked the rates for MLK weekend & they have Pop avail for 2 nights with tax for $140.80 What are the dates for the marathon?

The marathon weekend is January 6-8. I like staying in the Value resorts for a night or two but I need a really good nights sleep and they are little loud. I stayed there last year and promised myself I was going to reward myself for all the training by staying in a nicer hotel.

The problem is there is the Value Resorts and then the Deluxe (and only the nicest rooms in the deluxe) available and nothing inbetween. It's 170.00 or 512.00 and up.

All Star Music is coming up for those dates & it is $171.76 for a prefered room location... that is the only thing coming up now.... The All Star Music is quieter than the other values & you may be able to get a good nigths sleep there. If you book it & something at a mod opens up, they will allow you to upgrade...and if you call for your room, you should still get the 5 day cancellation policy.... good luck
