Any suggestions for changing room types-trying to get concierge

We are staying at the GF(room only reservation) beginning the Sunday after Thanksgiving and we will be leaving on Saturday, Dec 3. Anyway, we have a little extra travel money from a trip we had to cut short because of Hurricane Ophelia and it just recently occurred to me that it would be great to upgrade to concierge level at the GF. When I called, they had no availability. I was wondering is there a certain date that package holders have to pay or cancel when a concierge room might become available? Does anyone have any suggestions? Or should I just be happy to be at the GF and not worry over trying to upgrade?

You might try calling regularly to see if there are any openings. Usually payments are due 45 days before the trip. Good luck in trying.

I just looked up Expedia.com and they show the lodge concierge being available for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night. You may want to try and pick up the nights as they are available and keep checking back. Inventory status does change quite frequently.

Edited to add that those same exact dates, 11/27-12/1 are showing availability in the main building concierge and lodge concierge on Disney's site. It may be more difficult finding rooms for Thursday and Friday because I think they film the Christmas parade at that time and may have rooms set aside for that.

Well first of all good luck and secound of all instead of wasting money why not go to www.disneyworld.ca and do the plan a trip box where you can enter the dates that you are going and see if there is any conceiarge avalible.
