which meal is "supper", and what is your budget? :)

I would say supper will be around 5:30-600 pm and as far as a budget if it is good food, I wouldn't mind if it isn't cheap but within reason :)

My DH and I just returned from a fabulous week at the Portofino. We had dinner at Mama Della's and it was fabulous. The service was excellent. I had the fried calamari appetizer and my husband had the Italian wedding soup - both were excellent. My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs - he loved it - the meatballs were huge and very tasty. I had the lasagna - I loved it also. We were too full for desert so we split a cappucino. I would definately make a reservation. We sat outside - the weather was great. Have fun!

Last year we ate at Mama Della's. It was the best experience in any restaurant ever. My oldest son feel asleep on the boat ride over and the staff went into the hotel, got a pillow and blanket and made him a bed out of two chairs. Mama came around, as did a young lady who sang like an angel. They even heard us talking about how shrimp scampi sounded good as an entree (they only had it as an app.) and offered to have the chef make up a dish for us. It was delicious. They were fantastic to us. The service and food quality completely justified the $270.00 bill we had (this was for 5 aduts and 1 child). It's a tradtion for us now.

Unfortunately, my adult DD and I were at mama Della's in October and we were very dissappointed......

The service was outstanding but we really didn't like our food...we had to leave soon after our meal so didn't complain about our food..said it was fine which I normally never do but as I said we were under time constraints and couldn't wait for a new meal....

My DD had your basic spaghetti bolognes (sp) and she said it tasted like a frozen dinner...I said it can't be that bad...I tried it..it was.....totally blah with no flavour.

I love veal marsala and was really looking forward to it but it wasn't on the menu anymore. Our waiter said no problem chef can make it....well it was okay flavour wise but the meat was very tough....

The singing was lovely, atmosphere great and our waiter was awesome.....but very disappointing food..

Hopefully just a poor night......

We love Sal's Deli but of course it isn't fancy at all...just yummy and very reasonably priced.
