ANY SUCH THING AS A "QUIET" RESORT?

So far I have found CSR to be the most quiet, including the pools, but we have always stayed there during the off-season. The deluxes are quiet within the rooms, but the pool and lobby areas seem to be a bit hectic.

The values are the worst (but still better than off-site).

How about the Wilderness Lodge? The lobby area is bustling, but the resort is not noisy. The location is very tranquil.

We stayed by a quiet pool one time at CSR and it was terrible. They were yelling and screaming and it was after midnight. We moved off property the next day. There were 3 rooms of people that left.
noise

I have stayed many times at CBR and didn't find it noisy. I have also stayed at POR, CSR, ASM, ASM and didn't have any problems with noise.
no noise

safetymom, you mention having experienced noise and no noise in the same thread.

I think having a bad neighbor can happen at any resort. Not everyone is going to be lucky enough to have the time of their life just because it's WDW. We would all like it to be that way but things can happen that are out of the resorts control. As much as guests complain, I never read a thread were the noisey guests ends up getting moved.

That being said, out of 9 trips to CSR, and 3 to other resorts, I have been lucky enough to say I have never experienced a noisey neighbor or quiet pool incident (knock on wood).

One time with noise, one time with a lot of noise. Without the noise was in Casitas not near the quiet pool.

I think part of it is the luck of the draw as far as neighbors go,and the other part is room location within the resort.

CSR has always been a quiet resort, especially the further away you get from the main building.

OKW is also pretty quiet, especially the Southpoint area.

If you have a huge problem with noise due to another guest or guests, I would suggest calling the front desk, as it is their responsibility to monitor/correct excessively nosiy behavior.

I have a toddler that wakes to any noise. I have found that blds 90 and 95 are pretty quiet at POR, especially if you get a standard room.

Without a doubt the quietest resort we've stayed is Old Key West. We also stayed in buidling 55 which I have read is one of the best buildings. In any event, it was almost too quiet, but not quite :flower:

lionqueen, I love your minnie/mickey sparklely pics!

DW and I stayed at CBR for ouy anniversary in June and thought it was extremely quiet there. we stayed in Aruba 54 and had a fabulous stay there. The quieit pool was just that and there was no noise at all from any neighbors. We were in a 1st floor king room.

CBS way far quieter than AKL when we stayed there in December. I love AKL but the romance was far better at CBR. :)
