Heading there next week and looking for any advice on how to maximize storage for this unit since no drawer space. Any suggestions or tried and true methods! Thanks in advance.

Although the Murphy bed replaces the "dresser", there are shelves in the closet and storage drawers under the bed.

Plan on using the washer/dryer on site and pack light- seriously we have stayed in the VGF studios a number of times and will be next week and there is just not much storage. With 3 of us our plan is to use the closet storage for 1 person, the drawer under the bed for 1 and since we will not use the sofa bed we will use the luggage rack and an open suitcase for the 3rd. I have no idea what we would do with more.

Isn't there a small storage door to open and slide a suitcase or bag under? Thinking about keeping my boys duffle with ebag packing cubes in there so my husband and I can utilize the drawer space.

No. Under the bed are two large drawers, only one of which you can open due to the furniture arrangement. Most simply stack suitcases against the door to the adjoining room to get them out of the way; however, the possibility exists to increase storage by moving the coffee table in front of the glass door to the balcony and placing a suitcase on it. A draconian measure would be to use either the shower/tub or the stand-alone shower as a place to store suitcases or hang clothes. In that case, you'd lose one of the two options for bathing, however. While we enjoyed our stay at VGF in a studio, they were poorly designed to accommodate more than two, or at best, three people with minimal clothing.

Sorry but this is wrong, there are 2 drawers at the side of the bed however at the foot you can slide it to one side and store cases under there. We store ours there every time.

here is a thread from here with a picture of the bottom of the bed sliding to one side to accommodate cases :)

I stand corrected! So, there is a place to slide a suitcase which is helpful. Hmmm, I guess one could use that suitcase as a drawer of sorts. Even with that extra access, however, drawer and storage space is limited and disappointing.

Thank you so much. This is what I figured and plan to utilize that to keep my boys LL bean duffle with packing cubes so the adults can utilize the drawer space.

we stayed there once and love it. But this is not the way to vacation. Where do I put this where do I put that? DVC really fell asleep on this build. Yes we will stay there again.

yes you can slide it open but note larger suitcases don't fit. When we stayed my carryon fit under there but the other suitcase was too wide. We just put it in the space where the door is adjoining it to the other room.

I am hoping the llbean duffle will work. We are packing light and doing laundry midweek. I know it wasn't the ideal space but since our kids are still young and we don't spend a ton of time in the room we are hoping this will work just as good as a regular room for us despite the storage challenges. Also thinking of brining a skinny shoe hanger that goes over closet bar

We managed to fit just 1 case under there (well one inside another) but it was our largest case.... 83cm x 53cm 146L storage. I don't know as you can get many cases larger but maybe you can.

That could work but it would be a pain as you would have to pull the case all the way out each time. I so wish they hadn't bothered with the damn extra bed.... We come from the uk for weeks at a time (this last trip was just shy of 4 weeks) so we bring tons of stuff, even with washing plenty of times it's still a struggle to find room for our stuff. We would never manage a studio there with children with us, we would have to go for a 1 bed.
