My mascara slipped out of my hand and left a nasty streak down my white blouse. I immediately tried using a makeup remover pad, which was less than helpful. The blouse is a cotton lace, so very delicate. It was, of course, the first time I wore it.

I don't want to ruin it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This^^. I'd give dish soap a try on practically anything. If you have some liquid eye make-up remover you could douse it in that first maybe, to try and dissolve it a little. With lace I wouldn't rub at it too hard with a remover-pad or you might end up with a fuzzy spot. It will take some warm water too, for anything that's oil or wax based.

Agree with dish soap. Brings back memories of my oldest off for her first semester at college. I got a call from her one morning because she had accidentally dropped her wand while getting ready, stained her blouse and wasn't sure how to handle it but felt like she should at least treat the stain right away. Dish soap worked like a charm.

Zout it out!
Zout has easily gotten blood and raspberry stains out of my clothes so I bet it will help with just about anything!

You need a good enzyme-based stain remover or detergent. I'll typically use liquid laundry detergent as a stain remover.

One of the best stain removers I have found is a mixture of Dawn dish soap, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. One part Dawn to two parts H2O2 then enough baking soda to create a paste. Scrub it into the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. Be forewarned, don't try to store the mixture-- it will expand and pop open the lid of a container and if you leave it in an open container it will dry out.

I use Fels Naptha - it is an old fashioned bar laundry soap. It was recommended to me 26 years ago for formula stains on my baby sons little tee shirts. Worked wonders and I still use it.

Hijack .....since I could really use a suggestion or two

A white t shirt turned somewhat Pink ( from a shirt that was laundered with it in error)
I tried re washing it
Then used oxyclean
And even did oxy a 2nd time in an overnite solution
It got a bit Less pink tinted

Was not sure about bleach because there is some writing/decoration on it
( And I don't want to ditch it as it was $$$ and I feel terrible I goofed up!

It has only been line dried so no dryer to "set" anything

Any ideas appreciated. Tia!

Try Dawn. If not, try OxyClean gel. Put it on let it sit

No hot water. No dryer. Wash in cold water and air dry.
