Any Space Shuttle Pics?

Hi guys! Just curious to see if any of our intrepid Dis photography board members were able to get any pictures of the shuttle launch last night. I spoke with someone who was in the parks last night, but he did not have his camera with him. (Obviously not like the rest of us).

I am about 300 miles away and saw it, but no pics. We were driving home. It was very interesting seeing the exhaust color range from the deep reds of the sunset to the bright bluish white when it was high enough for direct sunlight. Being so far away, the shuttle itself just looked like a bright star moving up the sky. One of the benefits of living in FL I guess

I was watching the launch on HDNet and forgot to go outside until just after lift off. I first saw the shuttle where the orange part of the tail is pictures, but my the time I grabbed my camera and got back outside the boosters seperated (look close a the second picture and you will see 3 bright dots.)

I am really mad at myself for not being ready to shoot the launch. In fact, there would have been a great vantage point about a mile down the road in the undeveloped areas.

I heard from my camera-less friend that it was a beautiful night for a launch. I really want to get down and see one and take some pics.

I was there for the rocket launch on the 6th, I also would Love to see a shuttle launch, especially since they are going to end the shuttle program...

I also forgot about going outside until towards the end but did manage to get these few shots from in front of my house. I would love to go and see the actual launch sometime.

I had the good fortune to see two launches while visiting my second home with the Mouse. It's neat, all the cars line up along the interstate and have their lawn chairs and BBQ out along the HW. It's kinda like a Shuttle launch tailgate party
